The new-for-2012 taylormade r11s driver is getting a lot of publicity, and a lot of golfers are trying to decide whether to buy one. The original TaylorMade R11 driver made quite a splash itself, but the company says the R11S is even better and more adjustable.
First improvement may be the enhanced ASP technology employed on the R11s which complimented Flight Control Technology (FCT), a technology first introduced in the R9 family. The r11s driver features a 3° Flight Control Technology sleeve and an all-new 5-way Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) which allows the golfer to find their optimum address set-up. Based on the solid foundations of the existing R11 driver, the new model's Adjustable Sole Plate adds another two settings to the club so that golfers can adjust the face angle independently of the loft, and vice versa and now golfers can change the loft up to 1.5°up or 1.5° down.
The sole of the new R11S driver is designed for better surface transfers because TMAG says that on the downswing air flow travels from the heel to toe. The new cheap r11s driver features a flat-white crown color and black PVD face to improve alignment and accuracy off the tee. Making this area more aerodynamic will improve speed. The transition from face to crown has also been tweeted for better flow. Through the testing of Taylormade designers, which indicates that most of the golfers gain confidence at address from a head that appears large relative to the ball.
To sum up, the modern-classical clubhead shape of theTaylormade R11s driveris planned to suit the eye of better players, while still providing maximum forgiveness and confidence for average players.
