Here is a 1200 dpi scan of the front and back of the corner of the T206 Cobb SGC 60. SGC calls this a "corner pull" deeming it a legitimate and natural flaw. From the scan of the front you can clearly see a VG-EX naturally aged and worn corner with a donor piece behind it that is EXMT+ to NM. This is the corner which Derek Grady, so I have been told, has examined, not once but twice, and states is "fine."

I don't know about any of you but I have never seen this type of flaw on a card and not sure how such a flaw could occur naturally. Would love to know what Kevin Saucier thinks. Kevin????

DELETED - I'm just surprised that if you don't start a negative, attack thread or expose somebody for some shady practices, that nobody seems to care anymore on this board. I was just asking for some feedback. Not interesting enough to most people. I am not a big fish on this board, but I have been around long enough to see how much this board has changed in the past couple of years. Oh well, I guess I won't bother with Baltimore this year. I was hoping for some positive feedback on the National, but we know that it is easier to add negative thoughts/criticism than to add positive thoughts. Oh well............

If you just put T206 baseball cards into ebays search bar,it is loaded with Topps 206 cards and the like.I know there is a way to exclude this stuff,but it shouldn't have to be done by us-should be done by them.

There is some kind or program they have, for industy folks, to report things and have them generally be looked at favorably. I am on their sports card list, I believe. After they did nothing about this one I pretty much wrote that program off. This card has been on ebay for several months and relisted many times, each time with a lower price. I should also clarify that I am only 99% sure it's fake, not 100%....1 in a 100 times the scan is way, way different than what the card really looks like. I think it's safe to assume this card on ebay isn't real though. If it was real it would have been bought several times over.

So let me pose this hypothetical, and it in no way has anything to do with Dean or REA:

We all agree it is unacceptable for an auction employee to bid with the company he works for, even if he only wants to buy something for his own collection. The reason is he has inside information concerning other bidders that would give him an unfair advantage.

So wouldn't an employee of a major auction house have access to the mailing list and contact information of all the auction house's key clients, something he wouldn't have if he were not an employee? And couldn't he contact these key clients with cards for sale? And suppose the deals didn't go so well- couldn't the clients call the auction owner and lodge a complaint about that employee?

So even if selling cards is not a direct conflict of interest, if I owned an auction house with employees I think I would tell them to focus on their day to day work, and not sell the same product the auction house sells.
