Hi there,I have rather an unusual request to all of you out there who have travelled to Thailand and are happy to discuss your experiences of Thai food and culture and how your interests in these areas may have carried on since you have been home. I am doing a PhD under the supervision of Anglia Ruskin University and Birmingham University and my research focus is on backpackers and how their lives have changed as a result of travelling. I am looking to meet up with people for face-to-face informal chats about your experiences and looking for honest discussions about how travelling has or hasn't changed you . I am offering a free meal in one of London's many Thai or Vietnamese Cafes, so that you can tell me all about your experiences and emotions with regard to travelling. You will of course have to be able to be in London at some point over the next three months.I have a webpage attached to the ARU's website that will tell you a lot more about me and my research, so please drop by and see if you might be interested in taking part. If you are in any way concerned about the legitimacy of this or the safety aspect then please reply to this posting and I will respond to any query, but I have given a lot of information on my webpage with regard to research ethics and safety.I really hope to hear from some of you and please post your thoughts on here as well, as the editor has very kindly granted me permission to put this request out to you. Any comments will be gratefully received. My webpage is:http://web.apu.ac.uk/students/cmk1Edit Reason: Activated linkModerator: Alan L

Thanks Clare - I would certainly be interested in having the opportunity to discuss how travelling in Thailand had an influence on choices that I made later on.

I'm sure I can get in touch with one or two other people who will be able to contribute some more useful feedback, as well.
