I posted an In The Spotlight tribute to her back in 2009 (Click here), but in further tribute to the late, great Queen of Country Music, Kitty Wells, I am posting below two more songs from her classic 1962 Decca Records Christmas album, Christmas Day With Kitty Wells. Kitty's grandson, Junior Sturdivant, with whom I am acquainted, told me that his grandmother was never quite the same after her husband of 73 years, singer-songwriter Johnnie Wright, died last September. Alas, Kitty is now at peace with her beloved Johnnie. Junior told me it was a lovely funeral and that Ricky Skaggs, among others, sang at the ceremony. Yet another legend is now gone. In my 2009 In The Spotlight tribute, I posted 2 of the 4 great original songs from Kitty's 1962 Christmas album: Ole Kris Kringle and Santa's On His Way. Here now in this remembrance post are the other 2 of these great originals: Dasher With The Light Upon His Tail and Christmas Ain't Like Christmas Anymore. Enjoy…
