I received and email from Frank B.  Saying that he couldn't log on to the site and was wondering if it was down for repair.  He told me that he emailed Chip but it came back as undeliverable.  I also tried to forward his email to Joe & Chip, but it came back as undeliverable.  I then went to the site and tried clicking on the stocking for Joe & Chip but it I receive the following message

Not Found

The requested URL /htmls/emailchip.html was not found on this server.

Apache/2.0.52 (CentOS) Server at www.theyulelog.com Port 80

Thanks, Susan. All directions to theyulelog.com don't work. Thanks for e-mialing me the Message Board address. I'll have to update my bookmarks to http://forum1.aimoo.com/theyulelog.

Hi guys,

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties: it appears that the server is down for the main website and our direct email domains.

Since the message board is handled by a different hosting company and is on a different server, it is thankfully not affected.

This is a prime example of why we made the right decision not to incorporate the message board into the main website. If we had, we would have had a complete system-wide shutdown and there would have been no way for anyone to contact us.
 
As soon as we have any information to report, I'll pass it along.

In the mean time -- as the saying goes, please stand by...

 Hi Chip,

I had guessed that it might be a problem with the domain for theyulelog.com and not Aimoo.com also since both Frank and myself tried to email both you and Joe and the emails came back as undeliverable.  Hopefully everything will be fixed soon.

Yes, everything is back up now; luckily, this problem was short-lived.

For all those who have not yet done so, I would suggest creating a separate bookmark for the message board, as Susan and Frank have done. This way, in the event the main site should go down again, you will still have access to the board.

Indeed Frank; however, there has actually never been a link on the message board to bring you to the main site, as there is on the main site to bring you to the message board, which is something we will have to look to add -- hopefully soon.
