Except for using the famous Capitol logo, I'm not sure what Capitol is "unveiling" regarding Frank Sinatra'd classic Christmas CD. Considering the fact that you still hear so many songs from this album played on radio, I guess it's safe   to assume that A JOLLY CHRISTMAS never needed all that much resuscitation after all these years.

A JOLLY CHRISTMAS has long been available on CD with the two 1954 recordings of WHITE CHRISTMAS and CHRISTMAS WALTZ included as "bonus tracks." From what I recall, when the album was first released on CD as THE SINATRA CHRISTMAS ALBUM back around 1987, the two bonus tracks were also included, but I could be wrong about that. I also believe that Capitol has, on a few occassions, released versions of A JOLLY CHRISTMAS on CD with the original '50s cover art included. 

According to Jonathan Schwartz (on WNYC-FM) this now classic album has become so popular that it has long remained "active" in the Capitol holiday catalog ever since being released in the fall of 1957.
