Also "Little bells and big bells" and "Spring will be a little late this year" are Christmas songs by Percy Faith ...

Beautiful Christmas CDs, great TV Christmas specials and a fabulous Christmas in Vienna with Carreras and Domingo. We never forget Natalie.

I look for this rare CD:

Dot is Universal ... then we will never see the Bonnie Guitar Christmas album on CD (i really hope in Real Gone ...)

Posted on 09/06/2015 06:08

We will never had a Patsy Cline Christmas album but we have an ignored (but beautiful) Bonnie Guitar Christmas album (great voice and many arrangements in the style of Patsy Cline).

Chip
I appreciate and understand perfectly your very hard work. To own a Real Gone CD with original front/back cover, great booklet, new remastering and bonus tracks is for me a dream come true. Mp3 and music on streaming are garbage. Therefore I'm very sorry that you have completely misunderstood my post.

Chip,

I own about 10.000 CDs all from original albums (I know perfectly what do you mean) but I cannot spend all my money to by CDs (I also collect jazz, soundtracks and more) so sometimes I give priority to that which I cannot find as free mp3 or Spotify/Rdio free streaming.
That's all.
Don't get angry ...

Hi Chip,

I really appreciate these new releases but John Gary, The Three Suns, Bobby Vinton, Geroge Melachrino, Jimmy Dean, The Souloul Strings and other are already available as official MP3 or on Spotify/Rdio free streaming with very good audio quality, while many great Christmas albums are only available as CD-R from vinyl with variable audio quality from horrible to acceptable:

THE TWO OLD WARING + A CAROLING WE GO (all Decca)
THE TWO HARRY SIMEONE (Mercury and Omnisound)
THE TWO RAY CHARLES SINGER (Mgm)
THE LIVING STRINGS - THE SOUND OF CHRISTMAS
GISELE MACKENZIE - CHRISTMAS WITH GISELE
LEROY HOLMES SINGERS - SNOWFLAKES AND SWEETHEARTS
MARY MAYO - THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS
BILLY MAY & THE JIMMY JOYCE SINGERS - A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER -
HELEN O'CONNELL - CHRISTMAS WITH HELEN O'CONNELL
THE JACK HALLORAN SINGERS - CHRISTMAS IS A COMIN'
BILLY VAUGHN - HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMA
ED SULLIVAN - ED SULLIVAN PRESENTS MUSIC OF CHRISTMAS
PAUL MAURIAT - RAYMOND LEVEFRE - CARAVELLI (only Japan and Europe discontinuous press)
... plus many many other ...

Why not consider to release them ...

I totally agree. Every Christmas song would be wonderful by Patsy's voice and is really strange that in the golden era of Christmas songs Decca never recorded Patsy Christmas album (but don't worry Dolly Parton has made two ah ... ah ...).
About Connie I think he was very underestimated. I always loved her great vocal power and Christmas album is magnificent.

What do you think about this Patsy Cline hypothetical Christmas album:

I'll be home for Christmas

There's no place like a home for the
holidays

Be a Santa

Winter wonderland

Blue Christmas

Here comes Santa Claus

Christmas eve in my home town

O little town of Bethlehem

Away in a manger

Scarlet ribbons

It came upon the midnight clear

Hard candy Christmas (not yet written)

Yes yes I agree. I just wanted to say that Kitty was more traditional country singer ... however I'm crazy about Brenda!
PS - I dream of Patsy that sings "I'll be home for Christmas" with the intensity of "Sweet dreams" ...

Posted on 08/03/2015 12:47

YES! Kitty Wells is absolutely the first queen of country music while young Brenda Lee is more rock than country ... I adore both but tone of voice of Patsy Cline is insurpassed. It's a very shame that she never recorded Christmas songs.

To Lynn, Tammy and Loretta I would add Patsy ...
I keep wonderig:
AS IT IS POSSIBLE TO DIE OF PNEUMONIA AT AGE 67 IN THE THIRD MILLENNIUM LIKE A HUNDRED YEARS AGO!!!

Posted on 08/02/2015 05:13

I'm very very sorry ...
I clearly love the 1971 "Christmas Album" but I also like the 1999 "Home for Christmas" ...

PS - She died for pneumonia following a trip to Italy (MY COUNTRY!!!)
