This is a tough one, because there are so many great versions of this beautiful song.  I will nominate Deanna Durbin's version from the Film "It's a Date" (1940).  I'm going with that one, because I just watched it over the weekend.

Thanks again!
I have the 2009 CD, but have started to build up my vinyl collection once again and when I saw the Mantovani LP I pounced on it, obviously not realizing that this was the mono version.  I will have to find a clean copy of the 1958 stereo version.

Mine is LL-913.  I'm guessing this is probably the 1953 recording.

Thanks for your help as always!

Hi Chip,

I recently purchased a used copy of Mantovani Christmas Carols on vinyl and it sounds as though the mix for "O Holy Night" is different than what is heard on the program.  I have a copy on my Ipod from a CD that sounds exactly like the one we all know and love. Question: was this LP remixed at some point in time?  The previous owner wrote 11-24-62 on back of sleeve.  Thanks for any info you could provide.
