I found it to be surprising in a way that Harrow's is gone. But then again, with all the competition that goes on these days one would almost assume it to be inevitable. 80 years for Harrow's may seem like a long time but if pioneer giants such as Mr. Woolworth who virtually coined the phrase 5 and dime could not compete, then it seems at some point everyone will eventually end up in the same boat and regrettably close their doors for good only to become a memory.
