I would assume that some of us may have seen this movie at some time or another. It's sad to know that it's hardly ever televised and evidently did not go over too well on video either. It would have been nice to see a special edition of the movie with interviews of the cast although Jason Robards passed away.

Thanks for the heads-up Jerry, and welcome back to the board. I've been waiting for CBS to release this on DVD. Hopefully, they'll release the rest of this series on DVD as well.

For those who are unfamiliar with the subsequent installments to 1972's "The House Without A Christmas Tree," they are: "The Holiday Treasure" (1973); "The Easter Promise" (1975); and finally, "Addie And The King Of Hearts" (1976). All but the latter were once on VHS, so it's unlikely that "Addie And The King Of Hearts" will be released on DVD.

All four episodes were tastefully and poignantly done, and starred the great Jason Robards and Mildred Natwick. They're great family viewing.

VHS copies of "The Holiday Treasure" (also known as "The Thanksgiving Treasure") and "The Easter Promise" (both of which are now out-of-print) are available from private vendors on Amazon:
