i have five of his albums. love his stuff. he is clever in his lyrics. i listened to him in my ipod during my last triathlon. i recommend him to anyone. while it is not his best song, 'sixty acres' is what piqued my interest. he is great live too. not sure what he will do where you are, in texas he was slow and took time between songs to just ramble, it was a great experience. have fun and dont miss it.

edited: i saw once that james mcmurtry was in W's playlist. hah. dont let that influence for good or bad.

I just read his dad's book "roads" and he mentioned his son was a musician.  Then I heard several of his songs on XM12 Cross Country and recognized the name.  He's certainly got that Texas sound for the most part.  Wish I would have known about him when I was living in Austin.

I am only familiar with "too long in the wasteland" - great CD.
Very inspiriational - and very appropriate for the Foyer.

I'll have to unearth it again.  Thanks
