I thought renting rooms at CCs would be relatively cheap, because, well, they're CCs.

I have a downgrade :D Though you probably won't get to see it in action, lol.

RP is right next to my house! I remember when the place was a big jungle with lots of monkeys running around then. Ahh, my misspent youth.

Now there are friggin students all over my neighbourhood! Causeway Point is so damn crowded now. D: *waves cane* Darn kids, gerroff my neighbourhood!

Also, Geek Terminal for the Kick-off party? Where is Geek Terminal?

*woke up early for meal before fasting, so is extra-early earliness!*

Yeah, I thought the same, that's why I went to check out their prices and went all "Good grief, what the heck?!" at their rentals for rooms. And then I remember that usually when people rent it out for courses, the participants DO pay some money for them and yes, that's probably why they could.

Oh well.

And Langsuyar ahhh, heh whenever I go to work/school I always keep my eyes on the ground. Not because I'm such a subservient ninny or a low esteemed emo girl but because there's ALWAYS creepy crawlies somehow and they're ALWAYS around since it was definitely built on the woodlands... HUR HUR Woodlands.

With that said, I never ventured BEHIND the school where the rest of the forest is still there... I DID entertain thoughts of a short story of meeting a unicorn though and then going "Oh freaking crap, it's a unicorn, where do I hide it?" and stuff.

Oh right.

Geek Terminal. http://www.geekterminal.com it's somewhere in Raffles Place.

Hey! I spent a lot of my childhood skipping over worms that surface after the rain, and snails crossing the pavement, and half-dead lizard pavementkill, and the odd dead bat or two, and cockroaches, and...

Yeah. Woodlands. As ulu as Punggol, but with shopping malls!

And I usually walk with my head looking down too. Last time I didn't, I stepped (Well... I stepped on it, realised it, and jumped on it over and over) on a large piece of burnt offering and my legs got so swollen that I couldn't walk for a month.

To be fair, I was young and stupid. Wait, no change from who I am now. Anyway!

Thanks for the link! I'm gonna note down the address and such. I don't go to the city areas often, being the poor student that I am, so I am liable to get lost. That, and the noise drives me crazy. Is it me or do writers generally hate loud noises?

Hi Kiaace here...I needed to crap(forgive my language) about something.

I kinda need some advice from the more experienced people. I mean...fantasy and romance at the same time...what should I put it under? And the characters in my story will get down to some *cough* business, which I won't actually write. I'm 13, for gods sake. And about the point of Ronald Macdonalds, I think he is the joker.

Nuff' Said.

Hahaha you can put it under YA? Young Adult? I usually write fantasy and romance together. Contrary to belief, not all of my stories are chic lit but those which tend to go to the adventure side go to the YA section. At least in YA there's IMPLIED "business" stuff.

I generally categorise mine according to the main theme of the story. Like I could set my story in the far future but the story is mostly about a dysfunctional family so I'd put it under Drama.

So it really depends, are you focusing on the romance side of things or the fantasy aspect? Doing the naughty doesn't neccessarily mean it automatically becomes Romance.

ETA: This is Raven Silvers from the normal forums, by the way.

The main forums are down, and I am going into forum withdrawal.
In the meantime, I can try to figure out where my tentative story idea would be en-genred as. The closest I can think of is "Wacky Fantastical Unrealistic Harem Romantic Comedy Hijinks", or alternately "Magical Girls For Male Audiences". Boy meets girl, boy meets other girl, boy meets yet another girl, all three girls regularly fry the guy with high-powered spells.

Weirdly, this is so common in anime as to be considered cliche, but I'm having trouble fitting it into the usual novel classifications.

 Forums. Down. Need. Forum. Argh!

I think I know how to categorise my novel (not that I actually have a plot, characters or what ever it is you need in a story). It shall be urban fantasy. It may or may not have a vampire but I'm trying to keep the explicit scenes to a bare minimum (if I can, none at all). Maybe I should try writing something other than romance this time around.

I have another month to think about a plot. I'll work on this.

Or you know, Nerwen, you could actually try erotica with plot!! Hahah or heck, yeah it'll be interesting to see what you write besides romance then!

Yes... I think we all are having forum withdrawals now. Thank goodness I sent out the email BEFORE the meltdown.

Ack! It just hit me all of a sudden while looking at Nano's twitter page... What if, someone wrote a book in TWITTER format?!

Duh duh duuuh.

I ain't doing it, I did cyber online format with emails last year and this year's my try at guided outline chapters and stuff to do before attempting Nano. If I wanna try, it'll probably be the following year or something.

I think it'll be a step away from what I've known if I don't do romance this year. All the books I've been reading since I hit puberty, all have romance in them, even the fantasy ones, just not overtly romantic.

asdjkasldjl WHEN?!

And I shudder to think of a classification for my novel. I'm thinking sci-fi/fantasy/swashbuckling-adventure-with-enough-romance-to-feed-my-single-soul. It's gonna be big. It's gonna be HUGE.

It's gonna be a movie someday, you mark my words. :]

I hear all of you on forum withdrawal ._. Though according to the official Twitter feed it's a hardware failure on the big server so they're running on the small server. The OLL site is up but I think the NaNo one is still down for the time being ):

Apparently I can't access the NaNoWriMo forums for some reason. Traceroutes go through fine, but the connection is "being refused".

Do I smell or something?

NaNo site seems to be down today. I checked teh YWP site too and it's offline. Could be they've chosen the US night-time to do some maintenance or could be it crashed again with all the US people logging in at work on Monday morning. It was working late last night UK time, early hours of this morning for Singapore. So wait and see. Meanwhile, we can play in here for a while.

Except I've nothing much new to say. Have to do a couple of Oral History interviews so I'm in the middle of Ireland, County Laois to be precise. The sun is finally shining but I'm not fooled. I'm wearing four layers of clothes, a hat, gloves and two scarves when I got out. And that's only to get from the door to the car!

I understand your cold D8 We moved to a new lecture theatre for the new semester and it's insanely cold in the new place... I had to wrap my scarf around my face because I thought my ears were going to fall off ._.

And then when you walk out it's really muggy and humid -_- It's no wonder I'm halfway between sick and not sick.

I missed the Kick-off! >_< Damn. Wanted to come but giving my friend a farewell party. And I missed the Write-In today too! >_< ARGH.

NaNo Forums still down. ;_; Need human interaction. Other than my mom.

How's everyone's writing coming along? I'm writing mine on Google Docs. It's faster than if I write it on my laptop. I can type an entire sentence in Microsoft Word and then sit and watch as it types out by itself after a few seconds. It's that slow.
