It's the new year (Happy New Year to all) And let us pray for the people of Queensland. I was thinking that instead of wanting the destruction of the Geelong Revival Centre What we can do is a make over. What can we change about the place to make us want to go back? Or others not leave. We can toss out Noel Herbie Hollins and put in someone we can all agree with? He's had his time and instead of waiting for him to die to see what's going to happen we'll just oust him and get a refund for the money we gave. We could change the name to “Geelong Place to find your god.” Or “Geelong near Melbourne and close to god?” Or how about “The people church?” I'm sure you can think of other better names for it. You have to have a name right? We can allow women to wear jeans and high heals. We could cut out the fasts. I never did get how sticking ones face in a seat where you just spend hours sitting was a good thing. How about we change the hours? Or not have camps? Or not have outings? Or free meals for the homeless every second Sunday instead of a meeting. Youngies should be optional no more sad faces being driven to the meeting when the kids just want to hang out with their school mates. Come to think of it all the meetings should be optional and there is no condemnation when you miss a few or all if you like? How about being able to have more than six people at your parties with out the oversite getting their panties in a twist? How about we read what we want and share it with others as we know the Internet has allows us all to find the truth(according to us) at out finger tips. But still believe in the truth that is preached from the pulpit each second Sunday. That is if Sunday is the day that we can all agree to be our day of reflection of our god.(s). How about we have a vote to get rid of people we don't like? Like a black ball system. Where we all have a bag of balls that allows us to vote in new people or black ball them? Or even vote out people already there? I have a few that I would like to see gone. How about we pave over all the parking and buy the houses next door to make even more paved parking? How about we change the doctrine to make sure that Ian is in charge of it and that it's all according to what he believes to be correct? What else can we change about the Geelong Revival Centre to make is a place that all of us here will want to go to it and not want to see it torn apart. Why waste a perfectly good building and location to start a new place when we just need to make the changes there? Sure it's the back waters of the world where you should go to a place like New York or London or even just go head to head with the Pope in Rome. Sure it's Vatican City but if you set up a place just around the corner just think of all the people who are lost who would find it much easier to find god. Lets rethink our plan to wait for Noel to die and watch what happens and be proactive about it and map out our plans for the New World Geelong Revival Centre Order. So what are your ideas to change the Geelong Revival Centre and not wanting to see it disbanded?

Why are my paragraphs always missing?

I'm sure you will all understand where they should be and please give me your ideas as to how we can change the grc and not destroy it.

Yes, let’s put in JESUS for starters.

Even without paragraphs your post makes a good read.

The next few years are going to be interesting to those of us looking at and hoping for, the decline of the GRC.

It WOULD have to be torn down and rebuilt with the Lord as the cornerstone.

I wonder if people will be as zealous about the false doctrine once Noel goes to great beyond.

False doctrine, false prophet and false witness................ equals the GRC Pty Ltd.

He once said that the GRC DO NOT follow the Bible, but more a PATTERN of the Bible.

I guess that means that you can make it up as you go along.

As Biblianut says...'Yes, let's put Jesus in for starters'.

Guest,

How about we change the doctrine to make sure that Ian is in charge of it and that it's all according to what he believes to be correct? If the GRC not only preached, but out-lived the 'doctrine' that I know is correct, then it would not only be a Christian church (something it isn't, currently), but it would be the sort of place people would want to attend (again, something apparently not the case, currently).

Not too sure about a lot of the other, quite ignorant stuff that you suggested, 'though.

Ian

Because its foundation is so unsound the GRC becoming something exceptable to God is like hoping the Ku Klux Klan will become an organisation African Americans would be proud to be a part of. The best we can hope for, I believe is any true believers will leave and join fellowships of the many good Churches around Geelong and the rest will pull their heads in and  refrain from hurting their neighbour.

Easy solution, if you want to make it a place people want to go, then turn it into a night club or amusement park ... but then again I don't know how many people would travel to the pumpin suburb of Norlane to go to a night club or amusement park???

What about a shopping centre, give Corio Village a run for their money!!!

I read the other day on one of the other Threads about a Guy that named himself, "Jay" if its the Jay that Im thinking then I know him from the GRC. Hadnt heard or seen him in a long time and would love to catch up, I remember him being a Cruzer with out worry. Does anyone know of his where abouts or if he still lives in Geelong.
