I've seen Losi eat a servo or two as well...
Fortunately for Losi and RC8 Mugen only has one top notch driver in the U.S. Seems like Jammin, Losi and AE have all the top talent under contract.

A win is a win, I understand that. But don't brag too hard about a win due to the uncontrolable misfortunes of others. According to the A-Main hightlights, Maifield and the RC8 buggy was untouchable until he had a problem with a receiver battery wire.
If I understand this correctly at about the half way point into the race Maifield was one lap ahead of the second place car! Imagine where he would be at the end of the race had he not had technical dificulties! After he fixed his car he worked his way back up to 6th place where he broke again. At the 24 minute mark Maifield had a 24 second lead running on a track that only takes 29 to 35 seconds to cut a lap on. Do the math and you get Maifield wearin your boy Drake's ass out! But we all know that does not matter, it's who's in first at the end.
So I congratulate you Losi fans on your win but recommend you rephrase your victory chant to something more like... "Losi Wins! thank god maifield broke 2 times" LOL Or "Drake takes the win! after getting his ass severly wore out by Maifield!" LMAO
Amain Highlights:
0-2mins - Maifield pushes like hell, does a 28.9 lap.
4:30 - Maifield 8 sec lead
7:00 - Maifield 10sec lead, 2nd Robbers, 3rd Drake, 4 Tebo

Well it does not matter what happen losi won and just like it happend to mayfield it could have happen to drake but it didnt..and it WAS ONLY 1 RC8 THAT WAS FASTer then the losi8s and that was mayfield so you do the math..three of the top 5 were losi losi rules .how many rc8 were there

As this race shows its not always the fastest car that wins. Preperation and driver are right up there with chassis, if not more important on our level. Gotta give props to maifield and the rc8 they were the ones to beat. Funny with all the servo issues Losi had, that a servo issue takes the highly anticipated RC8 out at the Nat's. Cant remeber one of the top Losi guy's losing one in a big race.
Oh well, enough jibbber jabber, all you Losi haters bow down to YOUR NATIONAL CHAMPION LOSI 8IGHT!!!!!!!!

I bet those new mud guards for the back axles is what helped him win! They must add 2 or 3 seconds to your lap times towards the end of the race.

Just curious as to why so much emphasis is put on the chassis and not the driver? It is just as likely that Drake would have came out on top had he been driving a Jammin. At that level those guys are so well versed at chassis setup and driving it does not matter what buggy they are running they will still smoke 98% of the rest of us.
All over the net all I see is how much better Losi is now because of Adam's win. In all other motorsports the kudos go to the driver and then the driver gives kudos to his team or the chassis manufacturer, sponsors etc... for giving him a great car.
I don't think one race should decide if a chassis and driver are great and wonderful or not. I think a running points series on different tracks says alot more about the guys that finish in the top at the end of the series.
