No Shade I have nothing against you, just tired of running against the same 4 guys from Jax. Promote your track and get some people (other than us) there and I would love to come back out there, have always had a good time in Keystone...

Don, I wish you would have helped me to promote our track instead of another track but its all good.
We were trying to race here in Keystone at least once a month but dont look like we are not going to be able to due that this month.
So we will see what happens next Month.

I supported your track and we tried to help you promote your track awhile ago, But you wouldn't do anything to help the cause you just counted on the Jax guys to come and hope that others would follow. We came, none followed and you gave up. We are all going to Savannah because we haven't been in awhile and they are actually on other message boards promoting thier track to get the racers to come. What have you done to promote your track? I have always enjoyed running on your track and would love to start coming again. Post the date of your next race as far out as possible and I will try and get some folks to come out. But you also need to try and get folks to your track aswell. We now have a track locally but it is small, but it is much closer to go to for us jax guys to run against each other which is just about all we have done at your track for quite some time now. In other words give me a reason to come out to your place and I will come. I bet there will be 12-15 1/8 scales in Savannah this weekend, but only 4 at yours. Your track is a business and from what I can see you are a pretty good business man in all your business' except your track, I have always thought you felt like the track was a priviledge for the racers to come and run on and it shouldn't feel that way. Please don't take this wrong I mean no hard feeling just trying to explain the way I feel. I will not speak for others but I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way.
So the cut and dry of all that is this...get some racers and I will come. Get with Daytona, Lake Park, B&B, Harry's and any other track you can think of and set up a point series that will bring some racers from all of the different tracks and you may be surprised what happens. Or hell just get set up in the Florida Points series and have that one big race that will atleast let other racers in the state know you exist.

The nature of this hobby prevents any real track loyalty. We are constantly in search for the most competition and the venue that everyone is going to that weekend.
But, i disagree with Don...it is a privaledge to race at any track. Someone worked real hard to provide that service and we should be thankful for the opportunity.

That's like saying its a priviledge to shop at publix...I may be fortunate to have a track as nice as ????? to run on versus ?????? track but never a priviledge if I have to pay to run on it!!!!!!!!!!

Well I have to agree with Don on this one. I think when its new there are alot of races at first, but it is like a business when you start losing racers you have to come up with something new so you can get them back or get new people. What I see happening is when a track start to lose racers, they go up on race fees. Then the racers that are there thinks that now we are paying more money with less racers. So if we have to pay more money then we try and find the track with more racers.

That is another good way of looking at it....money is not a problem but it does get ridiculous when you start paying more for less....

Agreed Don, I didnt effectively communicate my point. I meant its a privilege to have the opportunity and the means for us to spend money and time on this hobby, and likewise a privilege for hobby shops/tracks to make money on it. Your reference to Publix is valid, but it could be argued that is also a privilege, not everyone is as fortunate as we are.
Wow..now I sound like "the philosopher".

should we start your collection for Prez???? lol I agree with your point, not everyone is fortunate enough to have all the priviledges that some of us have, and being able to blow the money we do on this hobby is definately a priviledge!!! (That we work very hard to have)

Hoop, you get my vote...I hate turnmarshalling. Unlike the guy on the Grid who said he enjoyed it...what - the - #### - ever.

There was guy on the grid that told me that if I ever needed someone to pit for me no matter how long the race is he would "drop whatever he is doing and take care of it", I am just waiting for the opportunity to check that out...

A close second to them are the people that say turnmarshalls shouldnt be able sit down. The marshall sitting in the chair didnt cause you to have a slow lap, wrecking did.
