just thought a update was in order. the track should be finished this coming week. the elec might take one more week but i'm thinking we might open up up next weekend for some test and tune. i will keep everyone informed. for those of you looking to get memberships, we are only going to except 150 offroad members. they are going fast. you can get an membership appl. on the website or at the store. thanks, harry.

Why would you limit membership? Since you are requiring memberships does that mean you are running the place like a club? Board of directors and all? What are the benefits to being a member?

I got one of the membership applications..so I will chime in. The memebership is $120 per year. That includes free practice during the week and $5 off of the entry of your first class on race day. So non-members will pay $15 first class and $5 second. Memebers will pay $10 first class and $5 second. Non memebrs will either not have acces to the track during the week for practice...or will have to pay to practice. Harry will have to clearify the last part.

Sounds like Harry is trying to drum up cash, I will pay the extra 5 bucks and not deal with the "membership" sounds like all that will buy you is time to work on the track dureing the week. I think I will let the track get up and running before I spend 150 who knows if it will even be around in a year....
Gota remember Hoop might get it shut down way before then!!!!! LOLOLOL

Harry,
I look forward to another offroad track in J-ville. I offer this as only an observation.
Membership = $120
Thats $10 per month
With a $5 discount each race, I would have to race at Harry's a minimum of 2 times per month to break even.
With the Offroad State Series each month, plus the wonderful Florida Rain. 2 times a month is a stretch..and 3 times a month is UNLIKELY.
The weekly practice is a good addition, but that would not sell me.
Again...just my observation. I can't wait 'till the day I can run some offroad here in Jax. Thanks for giving us the opportunity.

let's see, the track is going to be private, it will be a members track,and the members will have a say in what goes on. We are looking for 150 racers,who want to race. The $120 a year is only $10 amonth. Most hobbystores charge $3 to $5 aday for practice time. Membership also gets you a 10% discount off parts in the store. plus reduced racing rates. non members can race,they will pay more to race, everyone needs to be a roar member to race, either a full member or you can pruchace a weekend membership at the store. We started to put in the jumps last weekend. we could possible be open for test and tune this weekend?? Harry.
