HiI'm a research student from Portugal and have been reading about role models in architecture.  The studies by James Ackerman (1969) in the book Listen to Architecture and latter by Burgess, Garrott, Lebewitz define five models of Architect role models as the Egoist, Pragmatist, Facilitator, Technical Assistance Giver and Advocate. Latter Jakobson (1970) defines six models divided in two groups as the Utopian, Scientist, Humanist, Bureaucrat, Activist and Liberal. I was wondering if anyone knows of any similar study in the Interior Design profession?

Hi, I am so sorry that I did not reply to your post. If you are still looking, I would recommend contacting IDEC - The Interior Design Educator's Council www.idec.org - this is the educational organization that most professors of Interior Design belong to and they might have some ideas for you. Good luck!
