i honestly have to say that i hate prank calls. here's the thing kid, you may have a 55 or 60 yr old man or woman on the phone saying this shit. they're from a different generation then you are and from a different one that i am. something we may find slightly amusing when said to our friends, they almost ALWAYS find offensive becuzs they were raised in an era where a fart was rude as hell AND they didn't invite you back if you were rude. not all the agents are old. our center is split down the middle .. everyone's either 18 to 22 or 45 to 60. there are very very very few in the middle group there and i'm one of them. would you like to be making your grandmother say that shit?
also, if you're only using the phone to laugh at someone else becuz legally they're required to be your damn puppet and legally they're required to inject voice inflection, or as you put it "getting into" and "acting out" what you were saying, then you should not be using the service. there are deaf people in the world trying to make calls to oh say 911 and they can't do it becuz some damn retard is on the fucking internet talking about skull fucking and how much the newest political compaign manager is sucking his bosses dick.
so while it might be amusing to you, remember, everytime you tie up an operator, someone in the world could be dying becuz they can't get to the relay services that were created to ensure their telephone communication into the hearing world becuz you just had to have ur daily dose of skullfucking. if you are in the same room, that's stupid. if you're life is so damn boring that you find it amusing to make people say shit against their will, then you are nothing but a pig! no wonder you don't have a life!! no woman would ever want to have anything to do with a pig! if you don't have a need for the service, then step off and let real people with real needs have access.
and just another note, i can't say i haven't used the service from the internet. i have. i took a trip recently and took my laptop and called my friends and family from the internet relay in order to save long distance costs. but we were not abusing the agents. we were not being malicious or fececious and we did have a need to communicate. it is a tool intended for the deaf BUT if used properly, and not maliciously, i don't think any operator would mind, or even notice that it is not a deaf/hoh/si caller on the line. i honestly am relieved when an ip relay calls drops in and i start talking to someone that is for all appearances having a real normal conversation.
here's what you need to do kid. GET A JOB! HEY why don't you come work at relay???? then you could sit around and get blamed all day long for some retarded hearing person at aol not understanding what a deaf person that speaks asl is saying and get yelled at and them immediately afterwards, call a business for someone in nigeria who is using a stolen credit card and "buys" 5,000.00 worth of rolling papers and puts the owner out of business, and then you can take your buddie's skull fucking calls and see how amusing you find it to be forced to say, i'm a hot mama and i want you to fuck me in the ass sooo hard and then i want you to put it in my mouth and i want to taste it.
