Re :   Five Flags Speedway

Blizzard Series 2013 Debut this Friday

Buddy's back!! The Buddy's Home Furnishing Blizzard Series makes its long awaited 2013 debut this Friday Night, and we would like for you to join us. You WILL NOT be disappointed. With a schedule realignment this year to accommodate the all new Southern Super Series, this Friday marks the initial outing for Super Late Models on the refurbished racing surface at 5 Flags Speedway. You will not believe the speeds!!! Some early testing by several drivers has indicated that a new track record is quite possible.

The Southern Super Series is a newly formed alliance between 5 southeastern tracks. Along with 5 Flags and Mobile, other tracks in the alliance include Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Gresham Motorsports Park, and Montgomery Motor Speedway. Well over $20,000 in points money has already been posted for the initial year, and many believe that Southern Super Series, presented by Sunoco, has all the ingredients to return Super Late Model racing back to its glory days.

The field of drivers entered into Friday nights event looks like a who's who of Super Late Model stars. A Snowball in May? Well, that might be a stretch, but, Ross Kenseth...? Daniel Hemrick, John Hunter Nemechek, Steven Nasse, Casey Roderick, .......the list goes on with many more names short track fans across the nation recognize as drivers who can win on any given night. And of course, they will all be chasing the likes of Bubba Pollard, Augie Grill, Donnie Wilson, Mike Garvey, David Rogers and another long list of regular Blizzard Series competitors. This will, without a doubt, be the most competitive field of Super Late Model drivers ever assembled for a non- Snowball Derby weekend. The Rubber & Specialties 125, presented by Crane Cams. This is one you don't want to miss.

And by the way, a great line-up of other racing will supplement Friday's race card, including the pavement pounding Open Wheel Modifieds, the Beef O'Brady's Sportsmen, and the Butler U Pull-It Bombers. Some great action has been taking place all year long in these divisions, and Friday night promises to deliver more of the same.

If you would like to get a sneak peak of Friday's action, you are welcome to join us on Thursday Night for an open practice session. Many of Friday's competitors will be on hand, dialing in their cars under race conditions. Practice will be from 5pm until 9pm, and grandstand admission is free. Once again, we hope to see you on Friday Night as the Buddy's Home Furnishing Blizzard Series invades 5 Flags Speedway as part of the Southern Super Series......a lot said....a lot to be seen....hope to see ya at the races!

Re :   TBARA Winged Sprints

TBARA update – Orlando Speedworld

Hi racers, there is plenty of good news about our upcoming race at Orlando Speedworld. The track is putting a great deal of effort into making our return to Speedworld a successful night. As you know, they are a Friday night track, but for our race they are cancelling their Friday night show that weekend, and racing us on Saturday, June the first. The idea is to draw more fans, and to make the travel easier for so many of our cars that will travel from across the state. Also, they have purchased TV time, and will be hosting a live remote by an Orlando TV station on Friday morning, the day before our race. We’ll have at least one sprint car on the track that morning, gassing it up for the cameras (although we could use a few more). There will be some stock cars too, so the Orlando viewers can see what is coming their way on race night.

Speedworld has signed our event contract, and has agreed to our new payout. Remember, the total pay is tied to the number of cars that we bring, so let’s fill the place, race hard all night and put on a great show.

The new track owner and new manager are planning to have us back later in the year as the headline to an all open-wheel show. However, this can only happen if THIS FIRST SHOW is a financial success for them. So far, they have had limited success in rebuilding the fan base at the stock car show, although they did have a huge crowd for a recent Crash A Rama night. Yes, Orlando can draw a crowd! TBARA people, we really need you show up in force at Speedworld. Bring the family, invite your friends, do whatever it takes to put some butts on the boards June first.

There is good news regarding the tracks rescue capability. They have a modern, fully equipped ambulance on the speedway property. Although it cannot transport patients (a common situation), it is staffed with 3-4 trained EMTs.

Thanks to Sonny O’Sullivan for putting his car on display during the Crash A Rama night. Fans took lots of pictures, and he gave out info about our upcoming race. Last week, we had the #84 and #85 cars on hand doing the same thing during the races. This Friday, we will be pushing off a sprinter or two during intermission so the fans can see them at full speed.

Track management requests that we provide a few racecars to park outside the track on the morning of the event. Can you get to the track early and help us out? If so, please contact Josh at 352 303 5672.

TBARA point race #2 is coming at us quickly! Saturday night, June first, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in Orlando.

Buff Fritz
TBARA President

Re :   Bubba Raceway Park

The Biggest Week In Motorsports

by Jim Rouse-BRP Media

Ocala, FL- The professionals all have huge events this week-end (The Grand Prix of Monaco, The Indianapolis 500, and the World 600) but Bubba Raceway Park has a huge night of racing to challenge. The Bubba Army 360 Sprint Cars return while the Scorpion Racing Products UMP DirtCar Modifieds, the Bubba Army Hobby Stocks who will race for $750, the 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, and the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators defend their turf.

The Bubba Army Sprint Cars have a shocker a top the standings- Danny Martin, Jr. is the leader. Okay, “The Hammer” has been here plenty of times but he does have Robbie Smith and “The Captain” Tony Agin on his tail. While Smith and Agin have been quite succesful at the 3/8 mile, neither has won in quite some time. Johnny Gilbertson made his first trip to Bubba Raceway Park in the Bubba Era and found himself P4 in the standings. Rookie driver Andy Cobb rounds out the top five after an impressive debut so far. It’s hammer down if they’re to beat “The Hammer”.

The Scorpion Modifieds see experience on top as the top two have won all four features this season. Buzzie Reutimann is the points leader and has been all year long; however, Jeff Mathews is just forty-four points behind. Mathews has won three-consecutive and is currently undefeated in Modified competition at the 3/8 mile. Mathews has his team-mate, Bryan Bernhardt, right behind him. Bernhardt has been learning and speed is in the car- he just needs to find a way to beat his car owner! Charlie O’Neill slipped to fourth last week but could lose more with “The Wellsville Wheelman” Paul Snyder right behind him. Who can stop “The Repo Man”?

The Bubba Army Hobby Stocks saw a shake up at the top with Brian Shea going from fourth to first after a big week. With Shea the points leader for the first time since his 2011 Thunder Stock championship, he has a target upon his back again. “Young Guns” Devin Walker and Hunter Gustafson will have to be smart and chase Shea down for a championship. Matt Kramer remains within a night’s worth of points but Alvin Adkison is chasing him down for the fourth position. Last week’s top five now has a combined one Hobby Stock win in the Modern Era, but that $750 prize may bring the heavy hitters out in force.

The 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks had four non-winners in the top five, including first-timer William Gillam. Gillam took “MAX POINTS” and now has the points lead for the first time in his career. Tony Campbell hopes to do what Gillam just did and regain his championship lead. Brandon Elwood, also a winner in 2013, sits just twenty-two back in third. A career run didn’t end like it should’ve for Brandon Tillander but so many positives will come from a brilliant performance for driver #73. Tillander jumped to fourth and he brought Melvin Fockler with him. Fockler took a career-best second place and feels that his time in Victory Lane is nearing. Will it be reunion or new friends visiting Coors Light Winner’s Circle?

The Rent-N-Roll Gladiators have an exciting battle for the championship with just three points separating the top two. Josh Fincher is still the leader, but Stephen Frankland’s record-tying fourth consecutive win is making defense tough. Behind those two is Bill Southard, who is hoping for an error from the top two. Southard, however, can’t slip or Jerry Taylor will strike! Taylor has already won this season and hopes to get his second and prevent history for Frankland. Rounding out the top five is Tom Sheehan. Sheehan is all alone as he’s well behind Taylor and he has a massive gap over the rest of the pack. Does history await or does it wait longer?

The pits open at 4, stands open at 5, and racing is scheduled for 7. For more info you can check out www.bubbaracewaypark.com or call us at 352-622-9400! Also, don’t forget our exciting month of June- the 15th is Excellence In Education Night. On the 15th, any elementary grade student may bring in their report card and, if they are on the A-B Honor Roll, they will receive a free kid’s Coke, a free kid’s popcorn, and an autographed photo of Tyler Clem. We will also donate $4.00 back to the school. Of course, on the week-end of the 22nd we have our Summer Spectacular for the Late Models, Hobby Stocks, and Thunder Stocks. Don’t miss a huge month of June at Bubba Raceway Park!

RESULTS FOR 5-18

SETH GEARY TAKES CAREER FIRST AT NFS

by Jeff Bean

-Lake City,FL. 5/19/13- Twelve year old Seth Geary of Gibsonton FL took his first career victory in just his fourth start Saturday night in Limited Modified action. Other feature winners were Brandon Spradley in Sportsman, David Crews Jr. in Open Wheel Modified, Shane Taylor in Pure Stock, Dean Sands in Street Stocks, Cliff Bellomy in 12 valve Box Stock, Bobby Dennard in 24 valve Box Stock and David Rader in TQ.

The Sportsman were first to get the nights feature events started. Derike Bennett grabbed the lead from outside the front row when the caution waved for Wayne O'Neal after one lap. When the green reappeared Bennett would resume the lead with Brandon Spradley behind him. The yellow flag would wave one more time on lap seven for Terry Pless. Bennett would lead the rest of the way with Spradley and Terry Wright battling for the runner up spot. But the joy of Bennett's first career win would be short lived as the winning car failed post race tech inspection for a tire violation handing the win to Spradley.

Limited Modifieds were next and like the Sportsman only two cautions would slow the feature. Seth Geary grabbed the lead from the pole and the field would complete a lap before the yellow would come out. Shawn Taylor would then grab the lead on lap two and hold the top spot until the tellow would come out for Marvin Hassell on lap seven. As the field would attempt to get the race restarted the leader's car would not come to life and Geary would take back the lead and race to his first checkered flag. Shane Taylor and Ray Durrence Jr. would round out the top three.

Tim Harrell would grab the lead at the drop of the green in the Street Stock feature. A caution on lap one for 2011 Street Stock champ Marty Smith would slow the action briefly and Harrell would remain in control until Dean Sands would power past Harrell for the lead on lap four. The yellow would then come out for Devin Walker as he suffered mechanical issues in turn one. From there it was all Sands to the finish with Brian Hansford second and Wesley Keller taking home third.

The always exciting Pure Stocks would take to the track and they wouldn't disappoint with a battle at the front of the field that would last for the entire fifteen laps. 2011 champ Jerry Fortner would grab the lead at the start but he would have Eddie Lake and multi time and defending champ Shane Taylor hounding him lap after lap. the first of five yellows would appear on lap two for Larry Isgette. Fortner would remain in control with the next caution appearing on lap five. Back to green it was still Fortner in command when Rick Reed would bring out the yellow on lap eight. On lap twelve Taylor would make his winning pass. After that Taylor would withstand two more yellows and then the victory would be his with Eddie Lake second and Jason Floyd third.

The past two times the Open Wheel Modifieds have taken to the speedway 2011 division champion David Crews Jr. has decided he would be the man to take the field green to checkers. The driver of the First Coast Hydraulics number ten has lead the last thirty laps of green flag action and it appears he has his sights set on another championship run in 2013. Just three cautions would slow his run to his second consecutive win and third of the season. Shawn Taylor would take second with Chip Owen third.

In Box Stock action Cliff Bellomy would grab the win in the 12 valve division with Bobby Dennard taking the 24 valve portion. A scary incident for a roll over by Craig Carlisle by the driver was awake and responsive and taken to the hospital complaining of neck and shoulder pain. Excellent construction of his car witha roll cage that did its job and the use of neck restraints prevented further injury.

In TQ action Dave Rader ironed out some mechanical gremlins that plagued his last outing to roll to victory over John Hopke and Jeff Collins.

Racing action continues Saturday night May 25th with Late Models returning along with Limited Mods, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks and Box Stocks. For more info go to www.northfloridaspeedway.com or call 386-754-8800

Re :   Hendry County Motorsports Park

RESULTS FOR 5-18

John Wilson wins one for the Scott family
and dedicates his win to the memory of Hank Scott

5-18-2013 Clewiston, FL - The Modified Mini Stocks had their night to run for the $500 prize with 30 laps of racing on the Everglades Clay. This week the track was much better than the last several rain-affected weeks and the racing was exciting and very competitive. Driver introductions on the front straight gave the fans an opportunity to meet the drivers and see the cars close up. Once the green flag dropped it was Mark Barlow in the #31 car showing the fans he had figured out his new car and liked the view up front, Glen Bidwell Jr in his #26 car wanted that same view and fought hard for it. Glen and Mark traded the lead multiple times for the first ten laps as Larry Thacker Jr, Mark Thompson and Scott Thompson ran two and three wide behind them. Billy Howard lost power early on and Thacker Jr broke a rear end. By lap 17 Mark Thompson decided it was his turn to lead the race and four laps later broke a tie rod in his #28 Pinto while holding off Bidwell and Barlow. The #26 of Bidwell barely hung on to win with the #31 of Mark Barlow and the #32 of Billy Evans rounding out the top three.

The Limited Late Models and the Open Wheel Modifieds put on a great show but John Wilson in his Wilson Race Cars #64 did not get to see any of the excitement, he was too far out front. The modifieds of Wayne Hilderbrand, Scott Thompson and Bob Regula dueled on the slick, fast track behind John but had nothing for the #64 that was on a mission to win the race he wanted to dedicate to Hank Scott and the whole Scott family. It was fitting that after a day of services, family members made it to the race track. Hank would have approved and he was on the mind of everyone that knew him. Don Sniff worked his way past the battling modifieds and took home a podium finish in his #10 Limited right behind the #5 of Bob Regula.

Street Stocks started the feature races with David McCormack in his Wilson Race Cars #26 on the pole, David was enjoying the improved racing surface and appeared to be unstoppable. Tommy Hill, Brian Morgan, Gary Champion and Rick Osteen gave chase in their own battle for the runner up position. Tommy Hill was holding off Gary Champion convincing himself second place was probably ok when on lap 18 the flames shot out of the exhaust of the flying #26 car and handing Tommy a gift win. David coasted slowly into the infield wishing this week was only a fifteen lap feature. Gary Champion got second place honors followed by Rick Osteen and Brian Morgan.

It was an early night with no Thunder Stocks racing since last weeks big race took it's toll on a lot of equipment in a very physical battle on a rough surface. We look forward to seeing who can make it back for the last two races of the first half before the summer break.

Next week is a much needed break for the track, the crew and the race teams. The next race is June 1st with the ground pounding Eagle Jet Top Gun Sprint Cars and the always exciting Gene Lasker promoting the message of Autism Awareness. Keep your eye out for promotional activities in the next two weeks and plan to make it out to the track for a great show.

See you there Saturday June 1st, and don't forget to bring a friend.

RESULTS FOR 5-18

MATTHEWS VICTOR IN RAIN SHORTENED FEATURE
FOR FMSA AT PUTNAM COUNTY SPEEDWAY!!!

by bendinrules.com

[5-18-13] Story by Bendinrules Motorsports/ It was a night of headlines and thrills at Putnam County Speedway in Satsuma, Florida as the Florida Mini Sprint ...Association toured the tight turns and long straights upon their first return in over two years.

A overflowing crowd thanks to the generosity of track management provided even more excitement for the evening and headlines were being made before the evening even began for the "ultra bullets" of the FMSA.

Walter Arnold Motorsports placed a new motor in the "Marco Island Missile's" Nicholas Snyder #116 planned to run at North Florida Speedway in two weeks as Nicholas had surgery Friday morning removing a tumor on his tongue and was scheduled to be out relinquishing his point lead.

Upon the arrival of the Snyders picking up the car in the Arnold camp in St.Augustine , Florida "The Missile" requested to race that night thru the pain in order to try and keep his point advantage.

Meanwhile The Walt Arnold owned #6 usually driven by St. Augustine's Andy Dettan was being outfitted for 2012 multi feature winner Harold Matthews who has to run four races with the FMSA in 2013 in order to be eligible for the big money being offered Thanksgiving Weekend for the FMSA Finale the Todd's Tomatoes and Quality Produce twin 40 lap features on Thanksgiving weekend.

27 mini sprints outstandily signed in the pit shack at Putnam County Speedway as this night had been anticipated for weeks on the schedule.

4 heats would determine qualifying and they were great ones with Summerfield , Florida's Johnny Crowder #30 "The Flyin Striper" bringing home the checkers over second place Lakeland , Florida's Bob Toney #243. Heat two would find Jacksonville , Florida's Gavin Thomas #7 besting John Moss #44 from Deland, Florida after a 4th turn melee ensued coming for the checkered flag piling up the field making the them scramble for a finish. Heat 3 would find Deland , Florida's Dirk Miller #68 easily winning over St. Augustine's Harold Matthews #6. The last and final heat of the evening saw Orlando , Florida's Jody Mckenzie #18 continue his great heat run streak as he outdistanced Eddie Moss Jr. #8 from Deland ,Florida as the two were chasing each other so close to the apron on turns three and four they were kicking up grass from the infield.

After a terrific halftime show put on by the track with a "candy chase" for the kids and the Late Models and FMSA stars parked on the front stretch for the fans to talk to the drivers and get a closeup of the cars it was time for the features.

The FMSA feature the fans got to witness a breathtaking "4 wide salute" to those in attendance with another spetacular fireworks display.
The Florida Mini Sprint Association has great appreciation of their fan base and each week this is their way of saying thanks to the fans for supporting their racing and the fans loudly approved and knew that they were in for some great racing.

At the drop of the green the "ultra bullets" charged into turn 1 and Jacksonville , Florida's Gavin Thomas #7 took to the high side getting in the marbles in turns one and two and running out of space tangling with the rear of the mini sprint of Paige Moss #04 and flipping his racer however he emerged unhurt but the car was thru for the night with heavy damage.

On the restart Nicholas Snyder took command of the race for the next few laps and looked as though he would muscle thru his pain from the surgery and claim the feature and maintain his points lead. Not to be though as another brief caution slowed the feature as light sprinkles started to fall on the restart a battle between the two Walt Arnold racers of Nicholas Snyder #116 and Harold Matthews #6 ensued with Matthews coming out on top.

A red flag for a rain situation with still 15 laps to go and after a fast lap by Eddie Moss Jr. #8 the decision was made to resume the race with loud approval from the fans even with rain becoming more persistant.

On the final restart Eddie moss Jr. made a final attempt to take the lead from Matthews from his third starting spot as Nicholas fell back due to running out of tear off visors like so many others.

One loud clap of thunder followed by some close lightening forced the checkered flag on lap 12 just as the Moss/Matthews battle was heating up and the Atlantic Powder Coatings #6 of Matthews was declared the winner followed by Moss. Dirk Miller #68 was third and regained his points lead with Shawn Murray #68x driving another Todd's Motorsports entry was fourth with Orlando , Florida's Jody McKenzie #18 with a fine fifth place finish.

Rhoden takes Top Honor in Late Model Feature at Putnam County Speedway

By Sue Rohn

Pole sitter, Mikey Kopka flipped his car in turn two and Bug Rose landed his car on top of Kopka. Both cars were pitted due to extensive damage and the drivers were very fortunate not getting hurt. The race restarted with C. J. Waldron moving to the pole position. At the green, John Koller took the lead for the first 10 laps, then the battle was on between Koller and Travis Rhoden. Rhoden passed Koller to hold on for two laps. On lap 13, Koller and Rhoden were side by side at the flagstand with Koller just inches ahead to take the lead.

Rhoden wasn't giving up that easy and took the lead back on lap 14 and led the remaining laps to the checkered flag to win the 20 lap Late Model feature. Koller had to settle for second. Rounding out the top ten were Clyde Herron, Kevin Mills, C. J. Waldron, Rick Scott, Adam Higginbotham, Chris Freeman, David Dowling, Kopka and Rose. Heat races were won by Higginbotham and Koller.

Check the Putnam County Speedway Schedule for an up-date on next week races.

Campi hangs on for Super  late model win at FTS

by Scott Lockwood

For most of Saturday night’s 75-lap, Turner Tree and Landscaping, Super Late Model feature at Full Throttle Speedway, Sarasota’s Anthony Campi looked like he would cruise to an easy victory. But Riverview’s Joe Boyd had other ideas after staging a late rally of his own. Campi and Boyd shared the front row for the night’s main event. Campi jumped out to an early lead and needed just 16 laps around the 3/8-mile oval to begin lapping traffic. By the time the race reached 25 laps, Campi had already lapped half the field.

The night’s first caution came out when Bradenton’s Dennis Colletti spun right in front of third-place running and Bradenton resident Jessie Dutilly on lap 27. On the restart, Campi flexed his muscles and pulled out to nearly a six-second lead at times over Boyd and Dutilly. On lap 53, Boyd and Dutilly found themselves spinning in turn one, but were allowed to keep their positions on the restart. A rash of caution flags over the next several laps gave Boyd and Dutilly a shot at Campi, who was able to fend off his challengers about a lap into each run. On lap 57, Dutilly got second from Boyd, who fell all the way to sixth place after being trapped on the track’s outside line for several laps. A few laps later, Dutilly was getting pressure from Jeff Scofield for second place. The duo swapped positions several times until Scofield made contact with Dutilly with 10 laps left and spun, knocking himself out of contention for the win.

Boyd had worked his way back up to fourth before the final restart. He quickly picked off Chris Fontaine and a quickly-fading Dutilly, who would fall all the way to seventh in the final finishing order. Boyd began closing on Campi, getting to the leader’s bumper several times in the final four laps. Boyd tried to get under Campi heading to the white flag, but Campi held off the challenge and finished off the race by leading every lap in a winning effort.  Fontaine, who has competed regularly in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, finished third despite an earlier spin. Scofield came back to finish fourth and Steve Gill rounded out the top five. Campi pocketed an extra $100 for leading at the race’s halfway mark. Dutilly was the night’s fastest qualifier with a lap of 14.385 seconds. Fontaine won the hard charger award after starting ninth and finishing third. Jake Perkins, who ran in the top five for the first half of the race, claimed the Hard Luck award after being knocked out in an accident and finishing 14th.

In Street Stock action, Duane Best was looking to add another feature win to his already-impressive resume at Full Throttle Speedway. For the first 15 laps of the 25-lap feature, Best opened up nearly a half-lap lead before a caution flag brought Bill Vandevender and Ander Jackson, who started shotgun on the field, back into contention. On a restart with about seven laps left, Vandevender needed two laps to get by Best. From there it was clear sailing for Vandevender, who won his first race of the season. Jackson got by Best in the final laps for second place. Earlier in the evening, Best and Richard Nelson won the heat races.

In other action, Chris Gimmler took the win in the T.Q. Midget feature, while Myakka City’s Sherri Best won the feature in the Rookie 4 for the third week in a row. Billy Campbell took the Outlaw Modified Feature; and Rick Sirmans took the checkered flag in the Modified Mini feature. Justin Teston took his first career feature win in the Road Warriors division, and Bradenton’s Ronald Robinson finished the night with a win in the Pro 4 class.

Next week, the Late Model Sportsman class highlights the action at Full Throttle Speedway. Pro and Rookie Trucks, Legends, Bandoleros, Dwarf Cars, and Road Warriors will also be in action.

5-18-13. Ocala, FL- The NeSmith Crate Late Models, Scorpion Racing Products UMP DirtCar Open-Wheel Modifieds, Bubba Army Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, and the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators all tackled the 3/8 mile and it was intense for every one.

Buzzie Reutimann opened the Modifieds up with the lead but lost it to fellow heat race winner Jeff Mathews on lap 5. Reutimann actually spun on lap 8 and collected Paul Snyder which made both driver’s nights much more difficult. Cory Hupp spun on lap 16 setting up a 9-lap dash with Mathews leading team-mate Bryan Bernhardt and Chris Littrell. Mathews held his team-mate off for the win while Reutimann and Snyder rebounded to 3rd and 4th, respectively. Littrell rounded out the top 5.

Eric Moon jumped to P1 in the Hobby Stock event and held it through the lap 3 caution for a Don Woosley spin. On lap 8, Moon was overtaken by Brian Shea for the lead and retired on lap 14 after heavy contact with Jerome Dipple. James Erickson got around Shea and then they spun each other after Shea ran out of talent. In the end, Don Woosley took home a huge win simply by surviving (and making his mistake early). Erickson finished 2nd over Shea, heat race winner Rebecca Paugh, and Chuck Cessna. James Sullivan, III won the other heat.

Jeff Mathews made history in the Crate Late Model race that he started from pole in. Mathews lost his lead on lap 16 to Bryan Bernhardt, but regained it when Bernhardt made the same mistake he had made earlier. Mathews became the first driver in the Bubba Clem Era to win in 2 different disciplines on the same night. Bernhardt was twice his bridesmaid with Dalton Myers, Shan Smith, and “Cadillac” Bobby Richardson the top 5. The team-mates, Bernhardt and Tony Stewart Racing developmental driver Tyler Clem, won their heat races!

William Gillam jumped to an early lead in his Thunder Stock but gave it away on lap 4 to Brandon Elwood. Elwood gave it up a further 4 laps later and Brandon Tillander took charge! On lap 14, the Brandon’s got hooked together- literally- and fell to the tail. Randy Strehle, a heat race winner, inherited the lead but his engine went sour and gave Gillam the lead once more. Gillam wouldn’t relinquish again and became the 2nd 1st-timer of the night and also gained “MAX POINTS.” Melvin Fockler finished a solid 2nd while Elwood rebounded to 3rd. Jon Layerd finshed 4th and Chuck Cessna made it a double top 5 night.

Stephen Frankland took his 4th consecutive win in the Gladiators but it wasn’t easy. Frankland began slowing and Bill Southard nearly jumped to the lead. Frankland did hold on to tie the division record for most consecutive wins. Southard fiished 2nd, rookie driver Tyler Bryden finished a solid 3rd, and Tom Sheehan finished an outstanding 4th.

Next week the Bubba Army 360 Sprints return along with the Scorpion Racing Products Modifieds, Bubba Army Hobby Stocks for $750, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, and the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators. For more info please visit www.bubbaracewaypark.com or call us at 352-622-9400!

Late Models, Limited Late Models, Outlaw Fours, V8 Warriors and the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers were all in action. But before the night got under way, a couple was here from Anchorage, Alaska on their honeymoon. Jessie and Chris Hawley decided to spend their evening here at East Bay Raceway Park.

The first feature of the night belonged to the Outlaw Fours. Winning their heats were Zach Amundsen and Dorsey Strickland and also made up the front row for the 15 lap feature event. When the green waved it was Strickland leading the way until lap five when Stephen Hohlbaugh took over the lead. The first caution came out on lap six when Brittany Yates and Megan Meyer tangled in turn four. When the green waved once again it was two laps later when Zach Amundsen spun in turn two after running in the second position. Green waved and it was still Hohlbaugh in first with Dorsey Strickland right behind him. It was on lap twelve when J.R. Baker hitting the front stretch wall while battling with Nick Hebrank for the third position coming out of turn four. When the checkered waved it was Hohlbaugh picking up his second win of the season with Jesse James Foster, Zach Amundsen, Nick Hebrank and Brittany Yates rounding out the top five.

Next up were the Limited Late Models. Winning their heats were Shane Koperda and Tim Powers. Scotty Williams and rookie Todd Ford made up the front row for the feature event. Crouse would go by the two on the first lap to lead lap one. The first caution would come out for Kyle Worden spinning in turn two. Several more cautions came out before the race got some laps in. Crouse was still leading with Powers still trailing him until another caution came out on lap eight as Worden spun once again in the bottom of turn four with the leaders nearly collecting him. When the checkered waved it was Crouse picking up his second win of the year with Tim Powers, Dale Pope, Forrest Gough and Waylon Haynes rounding out the top five.

It was Late Models up next for their 25 lap feature event. Winning their heats were Josh Peacock and Dean Varnadore who also made up the front row for the feature. When the green waved it was Peacock taking the top spot until turn three when Phillip Cobb got into the back of Varnadore causing a big pile up before the first lap would be scored. When the cars were cleared and the line-up was reset, Peacock and Roger Crouse would make up the front row. Peacock would lead the first eight laps until caution would come out for Cheryl Cochran spinning in the bottom of four almost collecting Peacock and second place Dave Schmauss. When the race was restarted, it wasn’t until lap twenty when the next caution came out as John Norris and Keven Devrieze slowed in turn three and the two would exit to the pits. When the race was back under way it was Josh Peacock picking up his second feature win of the year followed by Dave Schmauss, Kenny Monahan, Wallace Peacock and Phillip Cobb rounding out the top five.

V8 Warriors were up next with Ron Smith and Marco Reyes picking up the heat wins. Starting on the front row were Mike Wilson and William Suggs. When the green waved Wilson took the lead until lap three when the first caution would come out for Suggs. But under caution Wilson had problems and had to be pushed off the track and ended his night. Marco Reyes was the new leader with Brian Danforth and Jeff Weaver the top three. On lap four it was Jessica Robbins losing a tire in turn two ending her night. A few more cautions would come out before it was the restart on lap eight with Reyes leading until lap eleven when Danforth took over the top spot and crossed the finish line first. But it was in tech that Danforth was dq’d for Non Approved Mufflers handing the win over to Reyes. Tim Stoffel, Kevin Cassaday, Janien Dixon and Jeff Weaver rounded out the top five.

The final feature of the night went to the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers. Winning their heats were John Moore, Jimmy Baker and Jason Burnside. Richard Humfeld and Burnside would make up the front row for the 15 lap feature event. When the green flag waved it Humfeld leading the way until the red flag waved as Jeremy “JJ Speedy” Douglas went for a ride and landed on his roof. Douglas was okay and tried to get the car running again but was not able to continue. Caution came out on lap two as Baker stopped in turn two and headed to the pits and eventually returned to the track three laps down. Moore took over the lead on lap four and never looked back as he went on to win his sixth feature of the season. Rounding out the top five were George Handy, Patrick Tabb, Brett Calonge and Patrick Fiore, Sr. Handy came over in Victory Lane to congratulate Moore and said laughing “Man you got to give me the high line” Moore said “You got to have confidence in the high side to win”

ASA racing continues next weekend with the Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Outlaw Fours, Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers and the V8 Warriors. For further information, log on to www.eastbayracewaypark.com for call 813-677-7223 for more information.

Re :   Orlando Speedworld

RESULTS FOR 5-17

KEENE DOMINATES PRO LATES - COKER TOPS LEGENDS
AT ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD

by Dave Westerman

Orlando SpeedWorld was back in action Friday night with some picture perfect weather as seven classes competed in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action.

Daniel Keene slipped by early leader Ricky Moxley on lap 15 of the 25-lap Pro Late Model feature and went on to an easy victory slowed only by a lap 18 caution flag for a Zach Harris spin. Keene set the pace to the checker with Moxley a strong second over Brock Oglesby, Harris and Steven Simpson. Keene also won the heat race.

Dave Gleason led the opening lap of the Legend Car feature only to be passed by Keith Sinkula and the second lap. Sinkula's time at the point was short-lived as heat winner Darin Coker grabbed the top spot on the third lap just before Gleason and Becca Monopoli tangled sending both strong-running cars to the rear of the field for the restart. From that point, Coker and fellow South Florida driver Sinkula drove away from the field to finish one-two ahead of Mason Ketterman. Gleason and Monopoli drove back through the field to finish fourth and fifth. Rounding out the top ten were Tony Steinbuck, Paul Ingram, Ted Ruffo, Dallas Ingram and Roger Englund. Coty Bibeau was unable to start due to a heat race crash.

Donny Funk made it back-to-back victories in the Super Stock class and had to do it the hard way. After having engine trouble during practice, Funk was not able to make the call for the heat race and had to start the 25-lap main event scratch on the field. Heat winner Jeff Cuddy grabbed the early advantage but Funk methodically worked his way to the front and took over the lead on lap 16, then held on through three yellow flag periods for minor spins to claim the win. Zach Curtis slipped into second spot late in the race and stayed there for his third straight runner-up finish. Michael Held took third ahead of Cuddy and Charles King. Art Hendren, Brandon Christian, Russell Perdue and Denny Snyder completed the finishers.

Daytona Beach driver Matt Wheeler dominated the Modified headliner leading every lap. Shain Held was doing all he could to track down Wheeler but spun out of second spot near the finish allowing Josh Todd to gain second at the finish while Held recovered for third ahead of Ted Head. Held won the heat.

The Mini Stock feature had a wild finish that saw the winning car with severe front end damage sitting in turn one. Heat winner Ted Vulpius was leading rather easily when a caution flew for Mark Broat's spin on lap 13. David Russell put his foot to the floor and took the top spot on the restart and held on the rest of the way but he and Vulpius locked horns as they took the checkered flag while lapping the slowing car of Kelly Jarrett whose engine had soured. The incident had Russell's car slamming hard into the right rear corner of Jarrett's machine with both cars suffering extensive damage. After a somewhat heated discussion in the pits, both Russell and Vulpius shook hands and agreed it was just a racing incident. Jarrett was scored third at the finish trailed by Broat and Ray Hindman.

Wes Railing, Jr. was the third and final leader of the Strictly Stock feature and he led the remaining laps to take his first win of the year. Shane Sutorus came home second while Luis Guillen's third place finish earned him the "Fan Fun Race" collection of $75. Richard Fore took fourth followed by Megan Matheny, Mike Trotter, Tyler Jewer and Scott Sweat.

David Owen led all the way to take the victory in the Bandolero feature although Brett Suggs made it close at the end. Ryan Pierce, Colton Bramlett, Brandi Bibeau (making her very first start in a race) and Derek Pugh rounded
out the finishers.

FUPS Re-Schedule's

After reviewing the schedules of FUPS, Citrus Co. Auburndale, & Bronson Speedways it has been agreed upon that the make up date for rain out on Sat. 5/4 will be moved to Sat. Oct. 19th. We careful reviewed all tracks involved and came to this decision. We encourage our FUPS Teams to support other tracks when not competing on the FUPS Series. We are constantly working to add more venues to our series and with the re-opening of Full Throttle, and Bronson hosting the FUPS Sportsman & Trucks we are hopeful for more races to be added in the fall. Re :   TBARA Winged Sprints

Geoff Styner Recovery Fund

Florida based TQ and Sprint Car driver Geoff Styner suffered a near fatal accident while competing at Full Throttle Speedway on May 4, 2013. Geoff was pulling double duty this night, scheduled to compete in the FMARA TQ feature as well as the TBARA feature in his #15 sprint car.

During the TQ feature, the car suffered a mechanical failure while in the turn, the car turned on to its side and went into the wall at a high rate of speed, cage first. The cage collapsed during the impact and Geoff's helmet also made impact with the wall.

Geoff did emerge from the car under his own power, but he did collapse on track, complaining of back and head pain and also difficulty breathing. While the track did have three EMTs on site, it did not have an ambulance on site and while the EMT staff did stabilize him, there was a considerable wait for the ambulance and fire trucks. Then there was a wait for the helicopter that then flew Geoff out to the nearest trauma facility.

Geoff has a shattered C1 vertabrae, punctured lung and a cracked sternum. The neurosurgeon said this type of injury usually ends in a funeral, so Geoff is very lucky. Geoff has had surgery to have a halo installed and he will have to wear the halo for about four months and will probably be out of work longer than that, so this will obviously be quite the burden on the Styners.

In addition to the incredible medical bills involved, Geoff will be out of work during this time and most likely continue to be out of work once the halo has been removed and he will have to go through physical therapy.

Please join us in donating to help our fellow racer during this, his time of need. We are very lucky that we did not lose Geoff in this accident, so your help is greatly appreciated. Click on the pic below to donate!

Re :   Charlotte County Speedway

The Fate of Charlotte County Speedway

by LeRoy Davidson

When I built Charlotte County Speedway, Tom Stimus had Desoto Speedway, which was the best track in the country at the time. We competed with each other on a friendly basis, and both tracks had full grandstands and an overflow of cars in the pits. Today a track owner thinks if all the tracks around would shut down they would get all the cars and race fans. Fact is, after people try to travel to these distant tracks, they start to find other things to do closer to home. We lose our fan base for our bigger events and therefore gate prices go up to compensate for the loss of spectators and pit entries, which eventually causes it to be more expensive for the average person to attend weekly.

It's too bad greed and selfishness have entered into all this. There is so much to talk about to bring racing back to southern FL, but it will take time. The most important thing NOW is to figure a way to keep CCS open, then the rest can be worked on. It will be hard for anyone to rebuild and pay the fair market price. I plan on bidding based on what I know you can afford to pay and not anything more, so probably I won't be awarded the bid. The highest dollar bidder probably won't be there very long.

The last 9 people have been there, some 6 months and some up to 2 years. I was there 22 years, and if I go back I will be there as long as me or the track exists. The airport should look at who has the best record of how to run a race track and who has a record of paying every month on time. I am that person, but they said when I asked them that it was not their concern who won the bid as far as being the most knowledgable, but who would pay the most. End of story for them at this time.

Now we wait to see who is willing to pay something that won't last - again. I would hope somehow they would change their mind and allow someone to be there because they love racing and know how to make it work. The airport makes decisions based on public opinion most of the time, and I believe with all my heart that if it is public opinion to the airport I will be back. It may be up to you, the fans and drivers, to help make the board see this. At this time I would like to thank all of you for the 22 years I was there and in advance for the next 20 plus years I will be there. It's all for the fans and drivers!

LeRoy

The TBARA Returns to Orlando SpeedWorld!

We have some great news! It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that the TBARA Sprint Series will make its return to Orlando SpeedWorld on June 1, 2013. OSW has historically raced on Friday nights, but this special event will take place on a Saturday.

Special thanks go out to interim TBARA Treasurer, Rex Hollinger, for his hard work to make this event possible. Rex has been working with the new owner at OSW, Ozzy Moya, to get us this opportunity.

We look forward to everyone’s participation on this night to make the TBARA’s return to OSW a triumphant one. We are currently working on other dates as well to strengthen our series’ presence once more.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Full Throttle Speedway in Bradenton, FL for our 2013 season opener on May 4th.

Topic :   Karnac Copies Us Again

Good ol' copynac copied all of our results again this weekend. I threw them a little curve though. On the Hendry County results I intentionally put the wrong results up which were:

Modified Mini Stocks

Finish/Car#/Driver
1 28 Mark Thompson
DQ 17 Scott Thompson
DQ 00 Larry Thacker Jr

and yep. sure enough they copied them. I changed ours back to the right results which are:

Modified Mini Stocks

Finish/Car#/Driver
1 17 Scott Thompson
2 28 Mark Thompson
DQ 00 Larry Thacker Jr

They'll probably change them once they read this but as of this post they still have our wrong copied results. Check it out: http://karnac.com/flanews/race-results/hendry-county-46/#more-17385

This weeks 'Copynac's Copies' from Florida Racing so far: #1 Copy - North Florida Speedway, The original results from NFS had powder puff first but I switched it to open wheel modifieds. Also the original results had open wheel mods which I changed to Open Wheel Modifieds. Notice Copynac has that change as well as the same order of divisions in their results that we have after I changed it. #2 Copy - Showtime Speedway, In the original results from Showtime they have Sprints listed and I added 'Showtime' Sprints, which Copynac has in their results along with the exact order I put the divisions. That order is also different than the original. No matter how hard they try they will never beat us in race results. Even when they copy they are still second to Florida Racing.

Just keep doing your thing john.  Everyone knows that they copy us now.  No matter how much they copy us they still don't have the results for all the tracks we do and they post their copied results way after we have them.

Full Throttle Speedway getting a major makeover in East Manatee

EAST MANATEE — DeSoto Speedway, renamed Full Throttle Speedway by new owners Mike Chase and Kevin Williams, is getting a top-to-bottom renovation and freshening up in anticipation of a May 4 reopening. Chase and Williams closed on the $1.2 million purchase of the three-eighths mile oval race track at 21000 State Road 64 East in February, and got to work making the 63-acre property attractive to families. “I think it’s fantastic,” said Danny Anderson of Bradenton, who has raced at the speedway since 1992. Anderson applauded the resurfacing of the track, the upgraded bleachers, restrooms, concession areas and other work now under way. “I used to race with Kevin Williams back in the day. They will do a great job,” said Anderson, who races in the pro truck series. “I think new blood will be good for the speedway. I will support them and so will my main sponsor.”

Williams and Chase, owners of Punta Gorda Speedway which recently closed, are no strangers to racing. In a press release announcing the acquisition of the East Manatee speedway, the new owners said they stand for family fun and hard-nosed racing entertainment. “With the uncertainty of Punta Gorda Speedway we felt it was the best time to take on another track to make sure the future will still be bright in Southwest Florida,” the press release said. On Tuesday, Chase showed a couple of visitors around the track. “We want to pack the house,” Chase said of the speedway, which can seat between 6,000 and 7,000.

The new owners are also considering adding a motocross course, and a fan zone where fans can meet the drivers. “We want to make it a family fun place with good food, clean restrooms, and a safe environment,” Chase said. Full Throttle Speedway will operate year-round, at least three Saturdays a month, and pull spectators from as far away as Orlando, he said. “It’s a great facility that needed some fixup and tender loving care,” he said. Race fans say the speedway is a fast track that is short enough to have a lot of fun.

Joe Pickett, Manatee County sports commissioner, said he is a racing fan and has enjoyed events at the speedway over many years. “They do a lot of great events,” Pickett said, adding that fans and racing crews who are attracted to the speedway spend a lot of money in Manatee County. Gates are expected to open May 4 for the grand opening about 3 p.m., with qualifying starting at 6 p.m., and the featured races at 7 p.m. The owners are having a new web site constructed for Full Throttle Speedway, but for now, visit http://www.puntagordaspeedway.com/ for more information.

Re :   THE GRANDSTAND(General Discussions)

Indy business to vie for Speedway lease

By GREG MARTIN

PUNTA GORDA — Even before Punta Gorda Speedway owner Kevin Williams began dismantling the race track’s bleachers and fences prior to his lease expiring March 31, another prospective tenant announced interest in operating the longtime local track.

Andy Haase of Haase Investments, a real estate business based in Indianapolis, on Thursday told the Charlotte County Airport Authority, which owns the speedway site, his business was “very excited” about the approaching opportunity to bid on the property’s lease. The authority plans to publish a request for proposals in April after Williams vacates the property.

“We’re a racing family,” Haase said. “(Owning a track) is a family goal.” He said he races Legend cars, which are three-eighths scale versions of 1930s and ’40s sedans powered by Yamaha motorcycle motors. His brother is a “drifter” who competes in controlled-slide competitions. And his father is a former Legend racer, Haase said. The Haase family has been looking for a track to acquire for the past two years, he said. Family members have investigated such opportunities in Florida, Alabama and Illinois, he said. Haase said he’s aware of “some bad blood” between Williams and authority staffers. He’s also aware Williams has been removing fixtures that he claims he owns. However, Haase said his business remains confident it will be able to refurbish the track.

Williams, in an interview, said he intends to remove all the bleachers and most of the fencing and kitchen equipment by March 31. He pointed out he paid $100,000 to buy out a former owner plus delinquent taxes and rent. On top of that, he patched up fencing, bleachers and lights. Williams has been moving the materials to the DeSoto Speedway in Bradenton, which he and a partner purchased last month. However, Williams warned that the day after he vacates the local speedway, he intends to have his attorney deliver a letter to the authority. The letter will warn the authority to charge the next tenant the same “fair market value” it offered to him, $7,000 per month plus taxes, or face a lawsuit.

Williams had been paying some $3,900 for the past two years and had an option to renew for another three years. But, the authority was obligated by a Federal Aviation Administration rule to hike the rent to fair market value once his lease expired. Williams opted to move out rather than pay any more than $5,000 per month. “Right’s right and wrong’s wrong,” said Williams. “I want someone to have (the track) and open it up; that’s fine. But I want them to pay the fair market value they gave to me.”

Also, Williams said he expects the next tenant to be charged double the amount he was charged in property taxes due to a mysterious hiccup that Williams caused to be corrected. For the past 20 years or so, the Charlotte County Property Appraiser’s Office has valued the speedway’s property based on reports that it was a 10-acre site, but the lease was for 24.47 acres. Williams said he met with Charlotte County Tax Collector Vickie Potts to work out a payment plan on the speedway’s delinquent taxes. Potts told him she was surprised to learn about the appraisal mistake. That could hike the property taxes from about $9,000 per year to more than $18,000, Williams said. An attempt to contact Property Appraiser Paul Polk for comment was unsuccessful.

Re :   Southern Raceway

SOUTHERN RACEWAY RETURNS TO THE NeSMITH CHEVROLET OLD MAN’S GARAGE WRS

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Southern Raceway in Milton, FL is returning to the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series for the 2013 season.  Southern Raceway officials are currently putting together a schedule for their Crate Late Model Division during the 27-week season for the series that runs from March 25 through September 29.

Drivers in the Southern Raceway NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will be eligible for a National point fund that pays $10,000 to the champion, and pays back through the Top 10 drivers in the National point standings.  Southern Raceway competitors will also be eligible for a separate track point fund.

The Southern Raceway competitors will battle against drivers at other NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series sanctioned tracks throughout the country using a points system that counts a driver’s best 14 weekly point totals.

“I am proud, quite simply, to have Southern Raceway be a part of the integrity the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series brings to us,” Southern Raceway Promoter Billy Hoover said.  “The racers know when they go to a NeSmith sanctioned track, they are getting a fair shake, and that is what we want all of our racers to have.”

Southern Raceway was a part of the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series in 2007.  Local favorite Frank Wilson of Harold, FL won the series’ Southern Region Championship that season.  Wilson also competes in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division.
Other competitors from the Florida Panhandle area expected to compete in the Southern Raceway NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Late Model Division in 2013 include Kevin Maher of McDavid, FL, Larry Boutwell of Baker, FL, Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL, Tracy Sutton of Brewton, AL and Joseph Joiner of Milton, FL.

“After talking with the series’ Competition Director Tim Sims and clarifying how the points structure works for the National Championship, we are committed to a minimum of 14 races so our local guys have a shot at the $10,000-to-win title,” Hoover said.  “We are still working on the details of the schedule, and I really hope to have 18 to 20 races.”

Hoover asked that everyone check the track web site where they will post the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Late Model Division schedule as soon as all of the details are ironed out.
The dirt late model race cars in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series are powered by the economical Chevrolet Performance Crate Engines that are built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications.  There are two engines to choose from, the 400 horsepower aluminum-head 604 engine and the 350 horsepower steel-head 602 engine that gets a 100-pound weight break.

TBARA Pre-season Update

Our TBARA season opener will be at the grand opening of Full Throttle Speedway in Bradenton! This is the former DeSoto Speedway that has recently been purchased by Kevin Williams, the most recent operator of Punta Gorda Speedway. His new track is under-going extensive renovations in preparation for their big grand-opening night, which will kick off a very successful future for FTS. This is good news for racing in Florida!

We are the featured attraction on their grand opening that will kick off on Saturday, May 4th. This first night will be advertised and promoted extensively, so they expect a madhouse with over-flowing grandstands and a packed pit area. Our first priority has to be car count! Your friends and competitors in this organization need your participation in support of TBARA.

Full Throttle management has a favorable view of our organization, and they want to add additional races for us this year, however we must perform well on this first race. As I work at selling TBARA races to track owners, I run into a persistent complaint regarding our past: "start and park" drivers. Despite the fact that we have cleaned up our act in the past year or two, the track owners remain focused on the large numbers of start and parkers who ran with us several years ago. I'd like to address this very clearly with you: we depend on having your cars in our field, but our future bargaining ability depends on everyone putting their foot in it and giving it their best effort. Yes, sometimes problems happen and knock us out of the race. Of course not everyone runs the same speed either, I am understand that. Even though we don't have start and park problem anymore, we have to be sure that everyone unloads to race, and not to ride.

Next order of business, I'd like to welcome some new car and driver combinations to our series. Dude Teate is teaming with Darrell Connley to drive the #31 this year. They will be joined by another new car in our organization, the Tom Rice owned #84. Matt Alfonso, a long-time Jimmy Alvis crew member, has built a new car and will run for rookie of the year. I am not sure of everyone's plans, but I certainly hope we are joined by Dave Slawiak and Sport Allen, who have been driving again recently.

The point money from the 2012 season has been paid out. It was divided among the 6 car owners who made at least 8 of the 9 events we ran last year. No other car owner ran 7, or even 6 of the events during the year. There were several who ran 5 nights, but we tried to split it up among the teams that supported the series most faithfully. Congratulations to our 2-time champion Johnny Gilbertson. I will award Johnny his championship trophy the next time we all get together at our first race.

I've never seen so many track management changes in such a short time! There are new owners, promoters or sanctions at 6 area tracks within the last year. We are in contact with some of them and are trying to fill up our schedule for 2013. Currently, there are two events at Citrus County, we are discussing four at Full Throttle. There is also exciting and promising news at another track, but I don't have anything to announce on that yet. Meanwhile, let's get those cars ready to push off at Full Throttle Speedway on 5-4!

Re :   THE GRANDSTAND(General Discussions)

COPYNAC DID PRETTY GOOD THIS WEEK.  THEY ONLY COPIED RESULTS FOR ONE TRACK FROM US.  PUTNAM.  THEY'RE GETTING LAZY THOUGH.  THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHANGE THE 'RESULTS FOR 3-16'.  HELL THE PUTNAM WEBMASTER PUT THE RESULTS ON THEIR MESSAGE BOARD AND THEY STILL COPIED OUR RESULTS.
