I got this via email today and thought I would share:

I am saddened to hear of my former professor's recent passing.
I thought this true story might be of interest:
 
On our first day of class in Contemporary Civilization in the West,
Mr. Harington introduced himself and told of a meet and greet cocktail party for
parents and teachers, where he was wearing the typical paper label name badge
on his jacket. It read:
 
DONALD HARINGTON
WESTERN CULTURE
 
A student's mother ( perhaps a few cocktails in) approached him saying:
 
"So nice to meet you Mr. Culture"
 
He replied:
 
"That's all right, you can call me Wes".
 
I never forgot this story, nor will I forget this very clever guy.
