I tried Firezza 020 7223 5535 ages ago and they were pretty good.... but then I like Basilico :-)

Tops Pizza tend to be fairly decent, and reasonably priced. I haven't got the number to hand right now, but they have a number of branches locally, and tend to leaflet the area pretty heavily.

They were ok. Friendly, efficient, quite cheap etc, but I was ultimately disappointed with the quality of the pizza - overcooked and miserly toppings. Perhaps I am trying to recreate some kind of unattainable rose-tinted pizza memory from my student days.
My quest continues...I think I'll try Perfect Pizza next.

Basilico, over on Lavender Hill. Italian style, amazingly good, and will also deliver wine with your order. Not the cheapest or the fastest and they don't do special offers, but worth it.

OK, I overcame my inverted snobbery and had a Basilico pizza last night - and I have to admit it was really nice. Trouble with Basilico is that the menu is a bit poncey. Apart from the Americana (which is what I had), it's all marscapone, dill and aubergine which don't belong on pizza. If I wanted to eat those things I'd eat proper food.
There's a definite gap in the market for high quality without pretentious toppings. Firezza looks similar, though I may still try them. My wife just wants to go back to pizza hut deliveries.

Perfect Pizza is a good Pizza Hut substitute - it's not gourment stuff like Basilico, but keeps me & myt flatmate very content on a regular basis.
Alba is very good, but I have no idea if the deliver - I suspect not.

Really? Well I think Perfect Pizza might have to be next, which could be this weekend. Possibly tonight, in fact. My bathroom scales ceased to function a couple of weeks ago, and since then my pizza consumption has increased exponentially. I think I'd better buy new scales this weekend to shame myself into healthy eating before I turn into Rick Waller.
Anyway I'm sure I can manage one from Perfect Pizza before then. I'll let you know how I get on, because I'm sure you all need to know.

Alba may not deliver, but I think they do takeaway in that you can turn up and collect it.

I'm sure you're a fine individual and that your taste in pizza is as valid as anyone else's. However, we ordered Perfect Pizza last night and I can honestly say I haven't had a worse pizza since my Mum burnt a French Bread pizza from frozen back in 1983.
I'm sticking with Pizza Hut MSG surprise unless there are any other suggestions forthcoming!

Superb thread. The quest for pizza.
Homer likes dominos. Tried them? Not had a pizza in months but used to be ok? Or walk (gulp) to strada and get on of theirs - with a discount if you are a friend of the picturehouse or Holmes Place club member...
