Heard a rumour that they are opening a store on Clapham High Street as part of the redevelopment of the old burger king.  As well as the main store by clapham common....  Anyone confirm?

Isn't it rather odd to have a "superstore" on the High St and a Local version?

I'd always thought that this plot  was going to be turned into flats...


A Sainsburies Local would be good news for residents, but put the 24 hour shop opposite the Railway and the small shop next to  the Alba  out of business overnight, which i think would be a very bad thing.  Plus any surviving newsagents...

I've seen the small corner shop by my work being brought to it's knees by the arrival of a Sainsbury Local.  What's more it's very expensive and the range of goods is nothing special.

$%*'`[dan]%*'`@according to the foreman of the site its a sainsbury's local with 'luxury' apparetments on top - 3 stories allegedly....never nice for local businesses to be affected, but not too upset about the local 24 hour shop as the people in there are possibly the most miserable people on this earth, despite attempts to cheer them up !

The people in the 24 hour shop may be miserable, but I am interested in 24 hour shopping which Sainsbury's local will not offer!

are we talking about the same shop here? (the one opposite the railway). i've been shopping there since it opened and they've never been anything less than extremely friendly to me and my flatmates.
