Does anyone know if "The Alteration Station" on The Pavement has closed? The shop has been shut for a week or so, with a temporary note stuck on the door with a number to phone to arrange collection of completed jobs. Would be a shame if it has.I used them a couple of times to alter some trousers, and it was a useful and efficient service.Dave.

Well this has definitely closed - what a shame. I don't know what happened. Their old shop is now being used as a temporary base by Hamptons estate agents while their normal office is refurbished.

There was a sign up for a while saying that items could be collected from the dry cleaner's in the High Street. I don't know which one, but I think there are only two, which are more or less opposite each other, about half way down, near Sainsbury's. Suggest you ask there.
