I tried the Lamb Dalcha last week and I have to say it was one of the best curries I've had in ages...the only problem was that it was a little bit more expensive than my usual Haweli Of Clapham which is realiably good and cheap, it just takes ages to s.p.e.l.l. o.u.t. e.x.a.c.t.l.y. w.h.e.r.e. y.o.u. l.i.v.e.....

I will slowly go throught the rest of the Delhi Deli menu and report back.

 Dear Forum members / subscribers,

I am currently the owner of Delhi Deli, 30 Battersea Rise, SW111EE.  Its been nearly 1 year running this business.
I enjoy serving the local people, enjoy taking orders as I get a lot of compliments back.  I get on with the neighbours around the location.

One BIG problem!
The person we had bought it from is the biggest CROOK I have ever known.  All his life he has committed fraudulent activities and currently going through HM Customs investigations for variety of offences including avoiding VAT payments. Don't ask me how I know this now, but if I had known this before I would not have come near this man.

This man or someone in his immediate family has opened a Take Away with the similar name to mine, using the same font, same menu (nearly), even printed cards with claiming to be the new name or Delhi Deli.
He had already backed up all the customer details, and is calling everyone up with his new address.  Some of the customers are still calling on the 0800 number which I was not aware of at the time of purchasing this take away.
He had transferred the telephone number before completion.
Recently I had put my menu on the Just-eat site, a week later he also put his menu on there, but using my exact name, Delhi Deli.  I found that out about a week later as I was not getting any orders from Just-eat.  I immediately called the site manager and removed it straight away.

Looks like what ever I do this guy duplicate's.

ANY SUGGESTIONS, WHAT CAN I DO?

P.S.  I hope you guys have not been fooled by this CROOK, because I have been.

Regards,

iki

This is what is known, in legal terms, as 'passing off' - it's illegal and you should pursue the case:

I'm intrigued, a business passing itself off as another business and a website under sconstruction,  where is this place?

Sounds very bad. I would suggest also talking to the trading standards dept of your local council (Wandsworth?).

Maybe you can get the 0800 number stopped, if this should have been transferred to you as part of buying the business.
