Hi,I'm awriter and have returned to Clapham where I was born and lived for 25 years to do a piece on Clapham Rovers, the local amateur side that played on the common and lifted the FA Cup in 1880. As a kid I grew up fascinated by these guys, whoever they were and am now putting something together on them for a new London football paper. The FA have kindly provided me with access to their library but still a few questions remain. I would like to know if there is anyone on this forum who can help, or can provide me with the name of a local historian.I know all about the FA Cup triumph. There's not much more than that available on the net and my research so far has helped uncover more interesting bits of info on the club's development and decline, but there are still gaps.If anyone can help, please email me ateditor@londonfootballreview.co.uk

After reading this messege, I'm really curious to know where these guys play.  Do they still play on the Common or do they have a new ground?

They disappeared in 1907, or rather there's no record of them after 1907. I am trying to find out what happened to them.

They did play the two codes but quit playing rugby in 1902.
