Hello All A new joint called The Loft is opening on the 9th-10th november on the high stree above tesco local/Evans bike shop and Yes! right below the overpriced new apartments. I spoke with the owner randomly yesterday and friday is the private invite night and saturday is official opening. American cocktail bar food etc... i am sure they will go for DJ's too.... similiar to White House. The company owns Plan B in brixton and a few others. I have a couple of mates who live above the venue who are worried about potential noise etc... wait out and see!! more info shortly...... It does look huge... Tony

How are your friends finding life upstairs from the Loft? I had dinner and some drinks there tonight and it was great - seemed fairly quiet although I guess it must get louder on Fridays and Saturdays...

went on sunday with a group of 16 for sunday lunch.absolutely great. very good quality food and wine
and at a very reasonable price. something which cannot be said for many restaurans nowadays.

It always makes me laugh when I walk pass this place on a Saturday evening with some mean looking heavy on the door looking at their drunken clientel up and down before dismissing them while looking at his so called guest list and holding the red rope as if it was a top Mayfair joint !!!  GET REAL

It's a very average looking bar above Tesco on Clapham High St (with bad furniture and attitude staff!)

Its actually not that bad. Been in and the food and drinks are cool. Yes its packed on Saturdays like anywhere else in London. Dont know about the guest list though - sounds funny.
