Is Aquum another trendy bar/restaurant on mid clapham high street? Just read about it. It is where the old Chinese restaurant and part of La Rueda used to be, and the owners seem to have gone to town on the interiors but i think it might be aimed at the upmarket crowd, whoever they are.

Yes Aquum is very much in the mould of Bison and Bird, SOUK and The People's Republic you have to be a certain age 20-30 and a typical clapham clone to enjoy the place. If you're looking for some adult civilised fun go to abbeville or off the high street or to townPs Clapham clones do not necessary live in clapham, its now a generic term for people who look, act and dress alike in a certain way.

Went in Sunday afternoon and it's sooooo not me.  BUT a bit more upmarket than Bison & Bird and The People's Republic I think.  The design is very nice and the table service was very friendly.  I am sure it's different story on Friday / Saturday night.  Would rather spend a Sunday afternoon in The Falcon to be honest though.J.

 Eat there with 12 friends easter Bank hol and I have to say the food and service was fantastic  and reasonably priced I was actually very impressed! The food very well presented and tasty, vegetables were perfect and excellent cocktails. Unfortunately I'm sure weekend evenings are another story with mayfair style pretentious door policy and guest list bollox
