Does anyone know any of the shops which will be opening in the giant new Ipsus development (opposite The Polygon)? Dare I hope for an M&S?

For those who have not seen it - http://www.ipsus02.com - 102 new flats, plus shops, offices and restaurants.

Dave.

No idea what's going in there, but I did find out what they paid for the plot:

As the Ipsus development goes up, is anyone else starting to think that it might prove to be a horrific blot on the landscape?  Maybe it's the presence of the cranes and the scaffolding, but I can't help feeling a bit claustrophobic as I pass it, and get the feeling that the artist's impression of the final product is somewhat optimistic in the way it is supposed to blend with its surroundings!

This might all prove to be rubbish when the builders finally leave, but for now, I don't get the feeling that it's going to add anything positive to the look and feel of Old Town...

Maybe it's a little **early** whilst it's still a building site...  If it looks like the plans / mock-up then it should look good.

I think it is just a little bit chaotic whilst the building work is going on, the designs where very much tied in, to blend with the existing buildings and think it should look really nice once it's finished.

Anyone know when it will be finished? I am getting a bit fed up with having to squeeze through the plywood tunnel which has been covering the footpath for six months now.
