Unfortunately, I experienced the physical by someone when I was very young... just starting out in the relationship world. He was much older and I took and suffered a lot at his hands.. that's all I will say about that. I have also gone through a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship and honestly, I think that mental is worse. Thankfully, I gained the strength to leave both situations. People always preach about self love and it is true. People in situations like these have to stop remembering the man he USED to be (when it was perfect) and start looking at him for the person he has become. Then it is up to that woman to love herself enough to realize she deserves better and the man she fell in love with in the beginning is gone forever. It takes a lot of inner strength and prayer to break away but it can be done.

I think we SHOULD at least be cordial with one another but I don't know about going out of the way to be "friends." I say that because in my experience(s) the other baby mamma(s) still hold resentment about losing the man and already have you pegged out as a "bitch" she doesn't want to get to know. It is all about the kids, but sometimes if the other BM is unreasonable, there is nothing you can do about it. It's more important to be nice to the child.

No they don't. Too many people have lowered their standards to accepting being someone's side chick or ” man friend” that it makes it too easy for those in relationships to give up and move on without a fight. There is no respect for anything ” real” anymore. May sound bitter but its just my opinion
