Christi here is the main reason not to post or help with things like  this. The mare that won lots of things at Kiger fest was from Nevada and in no way can de a Kiger. We turned her down when Elwin  Winns offred her for $200 . She is  great horse but her BLM number #88526099 planly shows she foaled in Nevada and was adpoted from there. No KMA rules that I know of would make her a kiger then or ever.

No Christi I mean every one that belives in the true Kiger horse.  The kiger breed was started with only the horses in mind but as soon as there was money and real money to be made the gread started. In about 1990 or so the KMA put 30++++ horses in as kigers from not only Oregon but Nv and Ut. Why did they do that not to make the breed better because many of that 30+ were no good at all  but for the money the KMA people could make. Yet today we see NONE kigers every where being called true kigers. How would you like to spend your $500 and put your heart in to a kiger then only to find out that it came from Nv or its parents were from there. How would you feel about a breed you seem to love. Hope you get your real Kiger soon.

Thanks Rick,I hope I do too! When I grow up I hope to have a riding school/training barn (with all kigers)!I think that would be so cool! and I hope to stay in Tx so it would be called Lone Star Kigers!I'm glad I'm probley getting one from a friend who I know will always have realy kigers!

When you find your horse you let Betty check out the papers to see if it is a real kiger. She has about all the kma and smkr papers .  Good luck

Since we are on the topic of found Kigers...


How can one tell at the adoption if thte Kiger we are looking at has only true Kiger blood? Is someone keeping track of this? Or have most, if not all, of the found Kigers been removed through previous adoptions.
