RE:KHAR ISSUES

Hi, folks, this thread appears to be a rather delicate one. I just recieved an email asking me to delete the whole thread...which I have determined not to do, as this is not the first time the message board has been used to announce a resignation. Nor do I expect it will be the last. I have however deleted most of the subsequent comments, having some doubt about the direction they might head. The originial post I believe is sufficient to clarify Janice's decision and also give the rest of us thought about just how obligated an officer is to report on any contacts made (or not made). I suppose one reason why I have decided to leave Janice's original post is because the last time someone's resignation hit a message board, (a few years back, in fact) it touched on something similar. In that case, an officer attempted to restrict who the resigning officer could be in contact with. So we might want to ask ourselves just how much of ourselves is expected to be given over to a registry when we take the responsibility of office, and are we in fact, in hot water if we "consort" with persons who are affiliates of registries other than our own. Gee, I sure hope not! Anyway, that's my reason for leaving the post up. I am, however, gonna lock this one down. Personally I am not aware of any secret meeting, the one where three parties met was actually discussed on this message board so it certainly was no secret. This may be a misunderstanding that deserves more explanation, but we will just leave it at that. It allowed Janice to announce her resignation and it raised a question worth thinking about, and thats as far as it needs to go.
