Where is the warm weather? and why does it keep teasing us? I tell ya' I am going nuts here it is going into May and I am still stoking the woodstove. OK so maybe I am a wimp, I like it warm, but I thought just maybe it would be OK to plant my greenhouse by now. Well I was wrong when I entered this morning to see my poor seedlings had been zapped and lay dead due to the freeze we got. I hate to complain (but I am) so after a  few nice warm sunny days and then BAM! we are back to very cold and cloudy I am getting a tad bit grumpy.....LOL.
My horses can not decide whether or not to shed and look like scruffy mutts. I am shivering as I type all this, I guess I better consider throwing another log on the fire. My hot tub has never seen so much use as it has this year. After a day of cold barn chores a hot soak in the tub sure is nice.

And how are the folks in the Reno area doing with the earthquakes? I got an email from a lady who saiod her donkeys tipped her off to the quakes before they actually arrived.

I am sorry Tiffany, but I have your warm weather, I would like it a bit cooler we are so close to triple didgets, we are also heading for a slight cool down. so I think that means you all are having storms. I am sorry. This has been a strange year as far as weather goes.
Bettye My nephew use to live in Reno, and they are trying to sell their home there, and that quake did not help with the sale.

Quakes in Reno...wow, I must be out of the loop. This is the first I heard of it. I guess my daughter was right not to to want to spend this week in Reno for her 21st birthday.
On the other hand the sun is making an appearance this morning which is nice, as I will be out assisting my vet this morning to get dental work done on two of my horses this morning. Still getting everyone ready for when the nice weather really does hit (I have more dental work being done next week) we will be good to go for trail riding with no issues. Of course Wickee is going to the trainer for riding lessons and needs those teeth done before a bit goes in her mouth.

I can relate Tiffany.  North of Seattle we had 70 degrees one Saturday and 4 inches of snow the next.  Mostly it just rains, and rains, and rains.  Makes it hard to train as the ground is still slippery.  Nights are warmer though, if you call low forties warm.

I just got my two big jugs of EQsolutions horse wash in the mail, so I am set for the summer to give wash some horses. They say it should reach 70's by monday. I just may get a chance to get some horses wet.
As for today, it is cloudy and looks like rain, I did the dishes the dishes and told the hubby he had to start the fire, in the woodstove and bring in wood.

The warm weather is definately down here in GA. It's absolutely GORGEOUS - mid 70's, perfect riding weather.  We road Sunday up in the mountains and WOW - the butterflies are out everywhere - it's SPRING and beautiful!! WOOHOO
