 I checked the Barnes and Noble web site.  The second edition can be had for $20.  They had some notation regarding the first edition that said new ones were not available.  They also listed used first editions for $144 available from 2 sources.  Maybe they went out of print and someone cornered the market.  Who would have thought.

It's worth $144 bucks if you're willing to pay $144 bucks.  Out of print books are just like old guitars that way. And of course, getting the older edition of the same book ensures... um... that you don't get the added information/value of the new edition? But it smells older... Score!

 Yeah, the old growth paper just has better tone than the newer paper. And the vintage ink just seems to resonate better also! :)
