Could someone tell me what the size of the capacitor is on the tone pot please?

according to this - a 67 and 75 flying V would be a .02.... That seems to ring a bell.
Probably correct for a 1980 as well

Thank you for your help! I bought a 1980 Gibson V the other day and for some reason the tone pot was completely disconnected. It is original and still there just not hooked up. Weird...

WOW - you totally scored on getting a Block inlay.
Aside from 67's and 71's in my book the block in the most desirable. From all the replies and emails you're getting you are getting a good idea of what it's worth. There are a lot of V guys that have been hunting and wanting one of these for many years...  you got a gem here no doubt.   Thinking about the proper cap - I think the .022 uf cap is correct.

I am afraid you will regret it, I would. Anyway I hope it comes in god hands (maybe someone here on the V board who will post fotos every month. Would be a cool calendar for the next year, yeah)
All the best and may your dreams come true,

Robin :o)
