Sorry for this long waiting.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Thierry and I’m a model maker in architecture, toy designer and drawer and I live in France.
I make miniature replicas of guitars and bass guitars on a ¼ scale, 12” length. This hobby started 25 years ago with the band KISS. During years, I learned how a guitar was made and the history of electric instruments through the years. This passion became more creative in the beginning of the ’90. I wanted to make miniature replicas of the musician’s guitars that I really loved. It was really simple , I made 2 copies, one for the artist and one for me which was signed by the artist. So, I had the chance to meet Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme, Ace Frehley and KISS, Joe Satriani, Slash and some famous French artists.
In this time, internet didn’t exist and I wasn’t living in Paris, the main place for this kind of thing. So I stopped.
After working 15 years in the model making, toy creation and many other jobs, I decide to bring back this passion and see what could happen now with all these professional experiences. A lucky meeting with Matthias Jabs, guitarist from The Scorpions, helps me to work on particular guitars models.
I’m working on a website about my guitars but if you can’t wait, give me a valid email address and I’ll send you a Pdf file with my past work and my present work.
I talked with Marc, the owner of this forum, about the idea of making all the Flying V officially made as ¼ scaled miniature guitars.
My intention is to create a really One Of A Kind collection of Flying V in the world, the most complete.
I don’t know if this kind of unique collection may interest all the Flying V fans but I propose to make it.
The offer is simple, each miniature Flying V is unique, hand-made in France with all the care and attention that kind of product needs. I’m a craftsman and I give 100% of myself in my work. The miniature is sold in a wooden box with a certificate.
A professional photograph will take pictures of each guitar and create the most complete collection of Flying V.
So tell me what you think of this.
