Those of you who have owned a V2, how do they sound like? I don mean the pickups but the guitar itself. I know some of them are mainly maple or ash, and that's always too bright for me, but how about those with more walnut(or mahogany?)?
What kind of neck profile they have? Any other comments on the guitar and it's features in general?

I've tried three of them in walnut. Feel and sound very much like the 75-82 models unplugged. PU's are horrible. The lowest output imaginable. I guess they are more like bad single coils. I ran one through a boss gt-6 and then it worked fine with all the effects and preamps. I like the look of them. Mike in Destruction plays one http://farm1.static.flickr.com/45/192736007_a9969f2e25.jpg?v=0 I do prefere them in maple instead of walnut but thats only for the looks.
Tried one last year unplugged. A walnut one (see the danish vintage 2008 thread). Feels a lot like my '80 silverburst with the neck thickness and the volute. Good sustain probaly because it's born with a brass nut. Had a stunt with a band back in '88 where the guitarist had a walnut V2 through a Marshall stack. Sounded quite fine to me back then.
