Would a 1966 Chevy Biscayne wagon be a legal NSS car ? I have found a car and if it would be legallike the regular Biscayne I am thinking about getting it since it would be different. I do not know how mymopars will feel about a chevy butI think they can get along.Larry Pelts

LARRY DID YOU BUY THE WAGON???

IF I MAY ASK WHAT WAS THE ASKING PRICE OF THE CAR?

A CHEVY WAGON WITH A 454 WOULD MAKE A HELLOF A GOOD NSS CAR. I LIKE THE BULKY WAGON LOOK.

LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE CAR OK

Well, I need to send my 62 Biscayne to Texas for a rust removal treatment.    I'm glad some people like dealing with it.  Personally I hate the stuff.   But I realize the cars we want are all getting that way unless we want to pay a war price for them.

Rust is not a problem.....can fix it.

I have worked on a few bad ones...... got a 52 Chevy 2 ton truck that I had to remove the whole floor and start from scratch.  It is coming along slowly (mainly due to my brother dragging his feet on the project a bit) but will be a neat tow vehicle when completed. We found the truck on a farm about 2 miles from Texas Thunder too!

    Mike, I need to get you and your acid a hold of my 62 Biscayne.  It was a little disappointing to look under.  Anything can be done if you want to bad enough.

    We don't git skeered by rust! This car was rejected by several body shops..... said it couldn't be fixed. Sorry............they were wrong.  A good dose of Phosphoric acid and some new (or at least rust free) metal and you too can have an NSS car!

    Kenny, thanks for the info on the 409s.  I'm not sure about the 62.  Had my first look underneath today and not sure I want to tackle the rust.  May give it a new home for some one that is a harder worker than me.  Are you coming to Memphis?

    Take care;

    If you score the V12 Mark and need gaskets or other parts, see if Tyler Machine in Deleon, Texas is still in business....... they had some parts for those.

    Not too long ago, we had a 409 block in the shop to line hone. Couldn't because the main journals were cracked up to the cam journals. Customer wasn't too upset since he had 29 more back in the garage.    They are out there, just takes some lookin'.   BTW, we do have the angle plate needed to bore 348-409 blocks.

    PS On another subject. Mark, did you get a call from a guy in Princeton, IN with a Lincoln V12?

    ..or build an 09 and play....

    Speaking of Biscaynes, I just brought home my 62 Chevy Biscayne from KY this weekend.  I guess the way NSCA has opened their rules I can run an BBC in it and not have to find an '09.  Not sure what I'm going to do with it.  Had wanted to make a 409 street car out of it with a 4 speed.   Not sure if a Buick guy can do that so I might just sell it.   Nark you know of any '09 engine deals?
