ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, BUT!!!!! Great color combo and the usual butnut attention to detail... The switch rout alone must have taken a week!
Well, both of us must have been afflicted with "time to remodify your already modified Tele" fever at the same time!!! I decided a while back that it was time to revisit the HiloCaster (seen below). I was never that wild about the body color, and, despite the ultra-cool custom butnut switchplate, it was never easy to operate with the three-knob setup.

Lately, I've become completely addicted to bound Tele bodies, especially double-bounds. I've always lusted after a double-bound in the old Lake Placid Blue color, so when a '62 RI body appeared on eBay, I jumped on it, and the NEW HiloCaster was born! Of course, it just HAD to have a "chopped" Tele bridge, so I used one from an almost mint (except for holes drilled Barden-style on the top, which was cut off during the chopping) '73 Tele, and notched it for the Bigsby. The original saddles were perfect for sound and string spacing. The HiLos are T.V. Jones, the Bigsby is an original NOS Gretsch, and the neck is a REALLY nice '62 RI.
Not only does it play beautifully, but it sounds MUCH better than it did initially...the '73 bridge setup really works well with the Bigsby, with no slipping or "sitar-itis".
Hey, if anyone's interested in the old HiLo body, let me know!

Holy Crap! That is sweet Chorks! I saw that bod when I was looking for mine, killer color and it turned out nuts. The 3 knob did seem a bit cluttered, looks great man, love that Bigs and the whole package, kool that it sounds good too.

Wow - those are looking great
Butnut's Tele Paul and Chorks HiloBound 62
I'll give both of you an award -
Now these 2 would make real good CrossOver Telecaster Model for Fender !
I've seen Telesonic's, Junior Tele's with P90 ... these 2 would fit right inn....
I'll bet Fender will show a Custom Shop version of the Tele Paul and the HiloBound 62 next NAMM

Thanks, Maurits!!! Hey, I love the name HiloBound '62...Fender, you have our permission to use it!
You're more than welcome to use the photos...I was planning to send some to you anyway!
More Bigsby photos to follow soon...
OTM, you're on the right track! It's a Warmoth body, yellow-tinted bookmatched flame with double-black binding and a Deluxe Tele rosewood neck. The pups are ORIGINAL Barden's (late '90s?) with a Joe Barden bridge and Wilkinson saddles (I like the straight brass intonated saddles much better than angled saddles). The knobs are black with white shell inlays. The hardware is black and chrome; for instance, the electrosocket jacket is black with chrome screws, as is the string retainer and back neck plate. The bridge coloring is reversed, with the bridge chrome and the adjustment screws black. Here are a couple of larger shots...

Ahhh, no gig pictures, we'll be doing more, maybe later.
My first award! I'm speechless...hehe, thanks bro.

Very nice Chorks, how does she sound and play?
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who seems to really like those compensated Wilkinson saddles - I have them on both of my teles now, and I'm loving them.
Oh, and the hilocaster looks 200% better, wow!

Thanks, WB! They both sound great...I'm really happy (and relieved) that they worked out so well.
I'm with you about Wilkinson saddles...I've replaced all my angled/brass saddles with them; I HATED the "sitar-itis" and string contact problems. Come to think of it, it was probably a post of yours that inspired me to try the Wilkinsons, so thanks!
Hope things are going well over there!

Well for me the early hilocaster was stunning too, great looks and appeal.
The new HiloBound '62 again is a great looking guitar with lots of character.
Can't really say I prefer the first over the second - wish you could have them both lined up next to each other.
But then again if you need the parts - there is no way other then to sacrifice one to create the next.
It is like I see my son building one great Lego spaceship and the next day break it up and build a new one.
He never complains when he has to break it up, knowing he will be building a new spaceship with lots more canons.
It is all about the learning - the process of enjoying building the next one.
Reconsider and take the best to a next level - guess Lego and TeleModding have a lot in common

I now own a 93 Tele Plus body and neck.. rescued from an old mans yard sell... he made a clock out of it.. put about four holes in it and took out the wood sepration between the neck and bridge cavity... making a pool for his clock works..
anyways.. only one thing to do -- fill and repair the mess.. and make a Tele Gib.. cause Lace pickups never worked out for me.. just ask Don Lace... he dam near had me killed for using Duncans while employeed there.. heheheh!

I thought I replied to this yesterday!
My USACG T-Style has never been fat enough for my and I have a set of Gibson Burst Bucker 1 pickups gathering dust.
The temptation to cut the bridge in half and route the body for the BBs has been strong!
I just can't leave stuff alone!!!
