As most of you know, tele-style guitars are seldom seen with a P-90 in the bridge position.   This is becasue a P-90 uses a narrow string spacing to accomodate the 24.75" scale of a Gibson guitar.  If you put a P-90 in the bridge position of a 25.5" guitar (like a tele-style or strat-style guitar), the strings will not line up with the pickup's pole pieces.  This results in poor pickup performance. When you can, check out the discussion on the "Twangcaster" Discussion Group.  You'll be pleased to see what has been done.
