Hi folks, I have recently bought a MIM Telecaster, and I must say it's a pretty cool guitar! It has its stock pickups ; the problem is, everytime I want to use the bridge pickup alone, I have to adjust the tone pot to about 50% to achieve the result that's pleasant to my taste. For that reason I have been thinking about installing a pickup with a different equalization and maybe with a better response to distortion. The SD Little '59 pickup (ST59-1) is very commonly used here, but in my opinion, even with a key to make it work as a single coil, the Tele will sound a lot different, am I right? What about stack pickups, like SD Hot Lead Stack (STK-T2b)? Do they interfere in any way in the sound characteristics, beyond removing the hum? What do teleplayers recommend?
