Hey, I have a thiline body from Warmoth that is mahogany with a maple cap.  The neck will be a flatsawn maple with rosewood board.  Currently, the pickups are the fender noiseless tele pups.  The issue is that the guitar was originally drilled for a 12 string bridge.  There are six holes coming though the body but they are not at the usual tele alignment.  This leaves me with a few options.

The simplest fix is to slap a top mounted bridge on the body, but I want the best tone that I can get, so I want to do it right.  The next option is to use a G&L saddle lock bridge which has brass saddles.  My research reveals that this bridge is available for purchase and does not require a string through configuration.  Under the bridge is a 3/16th channel, similar to a single coil pickup that is routed into the body.   I would have to take the guitar to shop to set this up.  As of now this is my top choice.

Another choice is to use something along the lines of the Wilkinson 3 saddle bridge or a Gotoh 6 saddle bridge. With this option, I will have to have the tech cut plugs to fill the previously drilled string holes and drill new holes for the strings and place the appropriate string ferreles.  I know the classic tone for a tele is the 3 saddle design, but the additional labor involved tends to want me to avoid this, as well as damaging the beautiful finish.

Any mahogany thinline or G&L ASAT owners out there with any opinions on this?
