Hi everyone. :-)Well, I just found your message board (have been lurking for a week or so) and I just wanted to show off my newly finished treadplate tele - It's something of a parts o caster, but It's a really nice guitar. I have more pics of the construction if anyone wants. Here goes:The full frontal:The electronics cavity:Switching:Back of the neck - wow:The specs:Unknown solid alder tele body with top creme bindingCruiser (by Crafter) thin flame maple neck w. rosewood boardHomemade treadplate pickguardPlanet Waves locking autotrim tuners (brilliant!)Stringsavers graphite saddlesPickups:System 1 - controlled by the first volume and 5 way switch:Dimarzio Steve Morse bridge humbuckerFender US strat singlecoils, middle reverse woundSystem 2 - controlled by second volume (thereby giving possibility of blending it with any p.u.positionDimarzio MiniBuckerSeries/parallel switch for the minibuckerSplitcoil switch for the Steve MorseBartolini Mid Boost circuit"Snooze" (the little black switch behind the volumes) - a momentary killswitchThe last "volume" knobs function is undecided as ofnow.I am considering throwing a GK3 Roland synth pickup on it, and, perhaps more useful, a Fernandessinglecoil sustainer inthe neck.Anyway, thanks for your time, hope you enjoy it. :-)

That thing is a beast! I love it.

What did you use to cut and bevel the edge of the pickguard?

Thanks a lot man!

I just cut it out with a sabre jigsaw (I think it's called?) and made the bevels with a god file, and finished it off with fine sandpaper.
