Well, the vet called and tootsie has no bacteria in her urine, but a very high protein count. She is proceeding with another urine test to find out (i hope) why the high protein count. She still has a little blood in the urine today, Sunday, 6 days, and I am anxiously awaiting the Vets report tomorow. I am very worried. I would appreciate any information or incouragement .

Sorry for Tootsie's problem.  Without a diagnosis it's hard for us to comment - but I hope all will turn out well. Hopefully it's something that can be taken care of fairly easily.

well, all reports are back from the vet, the Protein is fine, and there was no blood in the urine, and no sign of infection. The vet is baffled, and said they only thing she can tie to the groomer is maybe the dog is under stress. needless to say i have changed groomers. Just to be on the safe side. I called a new groomer and explained the problem. She said she would try to get toots done in 1 hr, instead of the usual 4, just in case it is stress. So we will wait and see what happens.

our schnauzer (BRONCO) had blood in his urine, we found out it was stones and had to have them removed have'nt had any problems since
