I'm sorry, I don't know how it happened but I just made a double post..i tried clicking on every button but do not see an easily distinguised 'delete this post' option anywhere. Can someone please point it out to me?

Sorry, I can't help you there. I know I have deleted duplicate posts of mine before, but I'll be darned if I could do it when I had a duplicate yesterday. Totally could not find any way to do that.... and I am pretty sure it was under the edit button before.

I didn't take it away that I know of.

You guys don't have that box at the bottom of each post that gives you the option to delete stuff?  Maybe that's only me.

Nope, we don't have that. We used to have a trash can (delete) next to the edit button (upper right hand corner) when we opened our own post, but that is now missing. There is no other way to delete our own posts that I am aware of. We can cancel a message before we actually post it, but once it is posted, we are stuck.

In my case the other day, I hit post reply and the screens didn't follow through to my posted response, and basically hung there. Since this has happened to me often enough over the years resulting in lost (often lengthy) messages, I now try to remember to copy each of my messages (Ctrl-c) before hitting post reply. When the process hangs up as it did last time, I simply paste my previous response (Ctrl-v) and repeat. Occasionally, this will result in duplicate posts. This hasn't happened to me for quite some time, so when I went to delete my second post the other day, I was surprised when I couldn't find any way to do that.

Something for you to check into, Tania, when you have a bit of time. I know how annoying I find it to be to see duplicate posts, and I cannot be alone in that.

I'll check on it.  I try to delete duplicates when I find them.  But I don't always see stuff.

OK - I think I put the trashcan back - but I don't see it so you'll have to let me know if you do.  My options are different as moderator than the members'.
