I guess when I am not taking care of Molly or not working to exhaustion, I like to read books about dogs. Some while ago I posted a recommendation about a book by Jon Katz calledThe New Work of Dogs. Now I want to recommend another Jon Katz book calledA Dog Year. It's a very fast read - in fact I completed the book in essentially one sitting. It's a heart warming tale of the twoLabrador retrievers (Julius and Stanley)owned by Katz and what happens to their lives when he adopts a two-year old border collie named Devon. Some of the situations he describes are hilarious, others might get you infuriated. You will shed a tear or two as the Labs one-by-one go to the Rainbow Bridge. Having fallen in love with Devon, Jon adopts another border collie to add some spice to his life. Worth reading.Bill
