My puppy had a perfect scissor bite from the time I got him at 12 weeks until 3 weeks ago when it became level.  He has lost several baby teeth in the last three weeks and in just now turning 6 months old.  I had thought I might try conformation competition.  Any chance the bite may return to scissors as the adult teeth come in?  I would appreciate any experiences or advice anyone can offer.  Thanks.  Stacy

HI Stacy - welcome!

Yes, the bite can change as the puppy grows.  The top jaw and the bottom jaw (maxilla and mandible I think?) grow at different rates and sometimes in some puppies one (usually the lower) has to catch up with the other.

Be patient.  If the bite was good before it most likely will return to the same.
