Absolutely nothing wrong with mixing a small amount of canned food in to get a dog to eat; I did that with finicky Finn for YEARS. This past year he finally decided that he no longer needed it, and now eats well with just the dry kibble. Just watch her weight so that she doesn't start putting on too much weight. A little of the canned goes a long way; you might have to cut back a bit on the kibble.

hi Rosie,
my little boy Ripley was on Prism for a long time (made by Eagle) and now back on the regular Eagle Pack, but he decided he didn't want the dry kibble, so I did the cottage cheese thing for quite a while until he decided he was tired of THAT too, so I have started rotating through different baby food flavors, chicken, turkey, beef, veal. One little jar will last for 3 or 4 meals...I use just a small spoonful (haven't measured...perhaps 1/2 TBS) each time with his 1/2 cup kibble. Perhaps I will add back the cottage cheese to the mix. If I keep rotating, perhaps he won't get tired of it!

LOLOL..im sorry to laugh, but it seems like a pain to get him to eat a dog food he doesnt like..have you considered raw? Or even trying it here and there. I have some that would still devour a bowl of dry if it were around, but 2 of my ms would probably sniff and walk away...They were so finicky, and would leave food and eat minimal for days.i did all the things, adding "incentives".. ..when i switched over to raw , theres no question it will be devoured in seconds..
