Marquel Ali will win the 100 and 200. Terrel Martin will win the 400. In the 800, It will be a close race between David Bias, Andy Bailey, John Dorchinez, Adam Woodruff, and Corey Waybright(if back and healthy). Although the 1600 favorites will be Ryan Beabout and Josh Feather, it could be anyone's race with about 5 or 6 guys very capable of going under 4:30. 3200 will come down between Beabout, Feather and Frohnapel, and maybe Bias. Andy Goldbaugh and Nick Watts will finish close in the 110's, and Andrew Carrier and Andy Goldbaugh will be very close in the 300's.

400-terrell martin
800- could be alot, but one person that no1 knows about is mack triplett from university, he ran a 201 split at gazettes and 203 in the open
1600- beabout, feather, frohnapfel, tennant, bias, cole and a couple more
3200- i think beabout has this won, but anything can happen. other then beabout i think its frohnapfel and feather

High Jump - Swiger
I dont know about that. Did he "jump" a 6'8 at RCB? At Gazettes he only had a 6'3. I think his jumps might be messed up.

As far as relays go, Wheeling Park will probably be the favorite in 4x1, jefferson or Woodrow Wilson in 4x2, Wheeling Park 4x4, and Wheeling Park, Martinsburg, Cabell Midland, and St. Albans in the 4x8 will be be an interesting race by the time states come around, and St. Albans and Wheeling Park will be too close to call in shuttles.

I think Holden will be a factor in both the 300's and the110 highs.

Yes, Holden is running very good now.. started off a little shaky but look for him to make a lot of noice.. Remember Holden won this event last year!! He's ready to run and win it again!!
But nonetheless good luck to everyone!!

oh yeah..midland and RCB should be right up there with SA and WP...however at Gazettes SA killed both of them and they were running with an alternate because Jeremy James is still battling an injury. But it should be a good race at states..and I agree that Jarrell from Midland will win high jump, I've jumped against him many times and he was always one of those guys that had hops but no form and everyone said ..man he'd be good if he had form. Well he is great form now and no one is more consistent in AAA.

Shuttles will be alot closer than peope think...RCB was ahead of St Albans until Aspy fell, but never count midland out either, they always find a way to produce

yeah that was unfortunate when he fell and it wouldve been a much better finish if he wouldve stayed up, but I doubt they wouldve held off Nick Watts on the last leg.

Looks like Marquel Ali could run away with the 100 and 200 this year. 10.72 and 21.86 is just hard to compete with, and if he can duplicate that at the State Meet, I can't see anyone staying with him.
400 will be very interesting. I haven't seen any results on Martin yet, but I've seen a few times in the 50s.. Wes Eades at 50.10, Andrew Carrier at 50.12, Marcus Hayes at 50.88, and Mark Sampson not too far back at 51.22. I'm guessing Martin ran somewhere in the 49s, and hopefully those results will be up soon.

martins fastest is a 48.3...this year...but the 400 will be a good race to watch... and don't count martin and edwards out of the 100...they can be a contender...but ali will prolly pull out with the win

say what you want about martin ... about park's teams, about the 100 ... everyone needs to sit back and look at what the girls in this state are doing in distance this year. The 1600 on the girls side is going to be as competitive as Keys vs. Natali, as Eric Ryan vs. the clock ... it's something that isn't going to happen again for a long time .... i hope that crowd is as loud as i have ever heard it (starting with "Third and final call for the girls AAA 1600 meter run)

The 400 for Hurricane is looking good both boys and girls. Terrell Martin has had 2 times under 49 getting a 48.2 at gazettes and 48.8 at regionals, then Josie Crouch ran a 57.9 at regionals and has had had some 58s! Both races will be good though and I can't wait to watch the boys 800 it is going to be very exciting.
