Due to an administrative conflict, we now have an additional opening for
the March 25th meet to be held at Bridgeport's Wayne Jamison Field. To
register for this meet go to www.BridgeportTrack.com or
www.BridgeportMeets.wordpress.com and click on the links to get to the
meet registration page. Remember this and all openings for meets at
Bridgeport are filled on a first come first serve basis.

The administrative conflict that is mentioned above by Coach Griffith involves Preston High School.  As the head track and cross country coach, I want to go on record and state that the situation does not involve either  of the programs that I coach or the track program at Bridgeport High School.  It involves a scheduling conflict between the two schools in a different sport.

Coach Martin is correct.  I wouldn't want anyone to be under the impression that Paul or his program have caused a problem or that Bridgeport Track & Field has issue with them.  He and I are unfortunately the victims of circumstances surrounding a conflict between the administrations of our respective schools.  Their conflict stems from a dispute in football scheduling.  Not having been involved in the dispute directly, I will not comment on that.  The important thing is that the Preston HS track program and Coach Martin are respected competitors and colleagues of ours and we hope that things will return to normal in the very near future.

This year we will be adding a new feature to our meets.  If you are unable to attend the meets you can go online and check out up to the minute results from the meet.  If you are inside  Wayne Jamison Field  and have an internet enabled phone, PDA  or wireless computer you can also get the current meet results.  The link for this new feature is www.BridgeportTrack.com/2008meets/

HARRY GREEN STATEWIDE INVITATIONAL OPENINGS
________________________________________________________________________

The Harry Green Statewide Invitational has  20 teams registered which
leaves us with room for up to  3 additional teams.  We offer a great meet
with great competition, great facilities and timing, great coaches gifts
and a great hospitality room. Not to mention there is NO ENTRY FEE.
That's right coming to our meet is FREE. Save that $$$ and put it toward
equipment or buses or whatever your team needs.  Come to a great meet.
Come to the Harry Green Statewide Invitational.  We would love to have

We now have two of our weekday meets being sponsored.  The April 1st meet is now the Urse Honda Classic and the April 15th meet is now the K&M Service T&F  Meet.    Both will feature ribbons for all places and team 1st place trophies for boys and girls.
