Hopefully he will be getting more work. Sinbad looks promising. Just wish he wasn't a villian. I am watching the DVD's of Lost. Did anyone else notice that after Sayid shot Ben, that he was shot in the same way and also had to be dipped into the spring just as Ben was? Also if Sayid meant to kill Ben why didn't he shoot better? Just saying I think Sayid's heart wasn't in it.

I am totally confused....remember the interview Naveen did in Italy where he said he wanted to just take some time to remember who he was and live his life, ending it with saying, "Is that alright?"
I though at the time I really couldn't blame him, having full custody of a young child who WOULDN'T want a "do over" when you were an alcoholic drug addict and struggling with a career during the growing years of your first child who is now almost an adult?
When his name was attached to indie films that didn't seem to make it off the ground I though perhaps Naveen was just lending his name to a struggling projects in hopes that having his name attached to it would help it get the financing needed, but then he does Sinbad, a series filmed in Malta.
THAT'S what confuses me......if you wanted to take time to live your life and focus on raising your son, why commit to a project that is so far from home and a series to boot? Unless Joshua was with him and it was an opportunity to educate Joshua through travel?
I just have this hard time believing that if Naveen really wanted to get a part an actor of his success and talent should be able to get it if he really tried for it, or is it that Naveen does have this kind of stature in the acting world it's a step backward to go for parts and he just waits for things to be offered to him? Or maybe he really doesn't want to work and has to be vigorously pursuaded?
SO confused.....
Boy, some inside info would really be welcomed about now!

IMBD says he is in a new project, I draw Roses. Rise of a Exile seems to be confirmed and of course Sinbad. Maybe things are just starting to come out. There does seem to be a pattern of heavy activity and then a lull. Sadly he may be right about Hollywood being reluctant to cast non-whites in leading,non-villian, they get the girl roles. If you look at both his and Sendhil Ramamurthy's filmography and look at the fate of the characters they play, how often does the non-white get to be the hero and get the girl. Even in Lost when Sayid got the girl, she got killed off. Denziel Washington and Will Smith fare a little better, but overall the romantic lead is white and if the non-white is the hero, he has to sacrifice himself. It is better these days but mainstream films are still a little pale.

I found this while looking for confirmation of current projects. It is a proposal on slideshare which is through Facebook. Maybe fans of Naveen and other non-white actors need to remind mainstream Hollywood that we do like other colors or more precisely, other actors besides white teenage vampires. www.slideshare.net/stilettofilms/billionairessproposal2012-12197963Downsemb

I do agree saying they all died and went to the afterlife is a little to pat. Somehow I think it was a little more than that. After all it keeps getting said that people leave(die) when the island is done with them and that reality on the island does seem to be multilayered. Death on the siland might not be death as our reality sees it. While death is a kind of exit on the island it might be a gateway to life off island. Maybe that's why the others and the Dharma Initiative were in trouble . Coming and going when they wanted and not when the island was done. Everybody had to get together to help Jack leave, because letting go and accepting what he couldn't change was his major problem. And remember when Hurley started seeing Charlie, Charlie was able to physically hit him.

Lost Star Naveen Andrews Admits He Was Baffled By Lost - AND He Never Watched It...If you thought it was just you who didn't understand the ending of Lost... don't worry, it's not. One of the cast had admitted he didn't have a clue what was going on, either. Naveen Andrews has admitted he was baffled by the show's wacky conclusion, but he had a valid excuse. Apparently, despite being in it, he avoided watching an entire episode of the hit series. Surely he's supposed to know what's going on?
The British actor, who played Sayid Jarrah in the story of plane crash survivors on a remote tropical island, tuned into the original pilot to get a feel for the programme but never watched the show again throughout its six-season, seven-year run.
When the dramatic conclusion aired in 2010, it met with a confused response from many viewers - and Andrews had to rely on shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, a huge fan of the show, for assurances that the ending 'worked'.
He told Daybreak, "I was very confused just because I never saw the show. I saw the pilot, you know, because you have to have some knowledge of the piece that you are in, but I never saw an episode of Lost. "So, you know, when the end came, I had people like Marilyn Manson, of all people, trying to convince me that they had resolved it really well and it all made sense. He's a real fan... He's almost like a deranged fan. Almost." http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/06/26/lost-star-naveen-andrews-_n_1627624.html

Why would he watch himself? He has admitted he second guesses himself when he watches something he is in, makes uncomfortable to watch himself. wouldn't it be egotistical of him if he did watch himself? So his friend Marilyn is almost a deranged fan, cute.

I have always felt actors could learn from watching their performances. I don't know why I think that and I don't know what they would learn though.
He says in the "At Least I've Been a Good Parent" article he doesn't watch cause he has issues about the way he looks. Silly boy.
LOST was a big ensemble cast and he could have watched the parts he wasn't in.
Marilyn is deranged period.

He has mentioned before that he hasn't considered himself attractive. I suspect racism and parenting had something to do with it. Sadly if enough people tell you that you are not attractive, it becomes easy to believe. Must be a shock to him to hear his fans call him hot.
